I wonder if Marlon's contract has had the must be highest paid player clause taken out of it.

Also, he may have had a pretty big pay rise on promotion (with a similar drop on relegation) and so these improved terms may have allowed him to have a lower drop on relegation, but with the highest paid clause removed allowing us to attract one or two mercenaries.

Im glad to see that the rumours that ended up with the old board closing were infact not true as king did play for us again and he will play for us next season.

 

Marlon has the potential to do a Luther and to write himself into the folklore of our club. The alternative is for him to become a jobbing forward at a lower mid-table Prem club and to be as appreciated as a functioning table. I hope he realises the value of being a huge part of something at our little club and stays with us long term. This deal is great news, as it indicates that despite all the people in the know on this site and their inside info, MK will be here next season.

Anyways - with Marlon having just signed on improved terms - he'd be expensive for Bolton. And to be honest I think he'd rather stay withus.

 

yesterdays sunday times - they were looking at the prems teams transfer budgets and targets

 

I'm sure Marlon is a target for many mid-table prem clubs but I doubt he'll go anywhere.

Also - Bolton without Big Sam is a bit of a joker in my eyes.
