IMO it will be a miracle if we stay up That's about all there is to say really There isn't any point in moaning about quality of CBs etc anymore, it's pointless There isn't even any point in getting depressed
I’m a very calm and sensible person but I’m tempted to sign up to all forms of social media to abuse our players right now. Christ at least smash through one of them!!
I'll let others criticise the performance, Femenia & co. However, the total lack of emotion shown by any of those players out there today is the worst part for me. Not one horrible two-footed challenge, no handbags, no raised voices. Nothing, they bent over and took the spanking. It's a disgrace, Holebas is always yapping off when not needed but can't two foot someone today. QSF has one hell of a job on his hands now to get into the player's heads and pick them up. It's far from over, this can be forgotten and we can move on. However, we are solely focusing on staying up now, it's time to accept it's going to be a long hard season. I kinda miss The Championship anyway, shoot me..
An utter embarrassment. I can’t be bothered to restate the incompetence of Pozzo and Giraldi, but it’s clear this team is a collection of cowards. Spineless. Gutless. Crumble as soon as things go against them. A horrid collection of mentally weak footballers.
The darkest day in the clubs modern history. Worse than the 3-0 home loss to Yeovil under Zola. This feels likes a significant moment.
Proud of the boys. City would have beaten any team 8-0 today. Absolute class. Should all pat themselves on the back for a wonderful spirited performance. We go again with pride, spirit and resilience. COYH!
Just as well we brought in QSF to get us organised and sort out our defence. Imagine what would have happened under Javi.....
If there is anything to chear me up, I remember Palace shipping 9 at least once in the past and of course Everton losing at home to Sheffield United today, he must be close to the push.
Utterly shameful. There has to be some accountability for this. I didn't think Flores was the answer and he really could be a very short appointment. (although will not beat our record of 8 days for McKinley). No matter how bad we are, we shouldn't be losing 8-0 to anyone. It could and should have been even more. City missed several sitters as well as hitting the woodwork 4 times. Sterling didn't even play. How can we be this bad?
A defeat is expected. But the manner of a defeat counts. The things you look for in your players. Heart, courage, fight, determination, shouting at each other, communicating, cajoling were all absent. The ease with which we let in several goals by not even doing the basics correctly is a disgrace. The number of untracked runs, the lack of physicality, the lack of effort and jogging about when you need to get into the faces of players like de Bruyne instead of admiring them was poor. More than poor. They need extra training sessions, certain players like Doucoure and Femenia and Foster need dropping to remind them they do not walk into the team every week. They need more conditioning and they all need to see a psychologist as no doubt the fans who went to see the horror show will as well. They all need to realize they have to pull their collective fingers out of their backsides and get working hard and fighting for every ball. The best sides do that despite their quality. One break for us with Sarr and Abu Dhabi players were pelting back even though they are 7-0 up. They have got to claw results by dint of effort until we can get to January and bring in some much needed defensive replacements. Cathcart is a big miss but we at the moment need at least two other defenders. An abysmal performance and no excuses. The players should all be docked a weeks wages for charity. The spineless attitude from the first minute was appalling.
Kabs and janmatt can feel themselves hard done by not to have started, I somewhat feel we would have done better with them playing!
Absolutely **** the lot of them. **** the board, **** Flores and **** every single one of those ****s on the pitch today.
I can only imagine the state of Shoutbox today. The knicker wetting brigade in full hysteria mode is truly a sight for sore eyes.
Just seen that some team got pummeled 8-0 by city. Good thing we brought back QSF for defensive stability so when we play them we'll be organised and tight at the back, sure, we'll probably still lose by only by 1/2 goal margin.
That was awful. As said we didnt stick one crunching challenge in. Pressing was a token gesture, marking all the wrong areas and leaving players like De Bruyne free to do what they want. We were pathetic. Normally you can say "Its Man City, they can do that to anyone" but today we rolled over after losing the fight after the first 2 quick goals (because we got a rubbish bunch in defence). Dawson does not fit, I've no idea what he adds over Kabasele or Cathcart or Mariappa. Who themselves needed upgrading in the summer. We played with half a forward today which just meant we had more inadequate defenders on the pitch.
As I just said on the shoutbox, think i will enjoy this league season better than last seasons. we have an aim. last season when we were mid table i got a bit bored. only fa cup kept me interested. 4th bottom this season is all that we need. I am keeping the faith.
I'm ashamed to say I support the cowardly scum who turned out today and disgraced the 140 year history of our club with their gutless, meek, pathetic performance which deserves nothing but scorn and hatred. If there were any justice, at least one of those players would forfeit their life for offering that up to their supporters. This club has tuned a nasty corner and it's looking like it's too late to come back from it. Relegation looks assured, the players we thought were assets are showing they are worth far less than we hoped and we are going to be in a fight which we are clearly ill equipped for. Gino takes the ultimate blame. His eccentric style is all very well, but there's a reason why other clubs do things the way they do and once in a while it would have been nice if Gino didn't insist on taking the arrogant stand point of assuming that his way of treating players like trading cards and not considering the actual playing side as a priority would pay off. I hope that they take a massive hit on their potential profits if we get relegated as they deserve nothing better. Seeing players like Doucoure being sold for £15m instead of £50m etc. might finally nail some sense into that thick, arrogant noggin of our illustrious owner.
You should have seen it m8, utterly crazy ..These morons don't know how close we were to going bust 10 years ago .
