I don’t get the negativity towards the majority of fans waving flags and singing songs. There was **** all else to do. If they’d paused the game and invited us onto the pitch to have a go at playing I’d of gladly taken it. But they didn’t so we had to sit / stand and watch our players bend over for another 10 minutes. Plus we’ve spent decades moaning about lack of noise and support from our fans, I’m personally glad we’ve improved in this area.
Drivel again. It was an act of defiance. I waved one too. But I'm not a happy-clapper but rather of the constructive critique mentality. What were you doing? Sitting in a posh seat, sneering and criticising on account of being robbed of your 'entitlement'? And apparently continuing to do so. Have you ever had to put up with much adversity?
We should be giving wolves a game and perhaps we will lose but should really be trying against Utd and muff
Thought it was a bit unnecessarily humiliating of Quique to sub Foulquier after half an hour. He wasn't any worse the others but felt like a bit of scapegoating.
Left at 0-5. It was best seat in the house though. Losing a cup final 0-6 is embarrassing Losing at home to Brighton 0-3 is embarrassing Losing 0-8 is disgraceful When our cowards look up at goons waving flags at 0-6 it should be no surprise that they don’t have any pride and chase Man City shirts after a thumping. There is no pressure to perform.
Our cowards deserved to look up at the end of the final and see empty seats. They were shameful. It’s no shock they serve up he 0-8 a few months later.
Agreed. What a game to give someone a chance to show what they can do! Christ. We need a team of out of date cloggers to play the top six for their regular spanking and a new young and hungry team to play without fear against the rest of the league. Sneak Cucho and Pedro over, bring Peneranda and Wilmot back. Let Sarr play. And Quina. And one of the GK’s.
That's an insult to Huddersfield. I don't remember them rolling over like this to anyone last season. They had fight, but no quality. We have quality, but no fight.
I doubt there was any response from us the fans that would have made a touch of difference in the final or today. But actually I do agree they should have some fear of what’s going to happen if they cave in like that. Not massively pleased to hear Flores say they won’t get any punishment, extra work etc. We lack a few double hard bastards in our squad. Roy Keane is a bit of a ****head nowadays but imagine him witnessing his team mates go shirt hunting after an 8-0 defeat.
I don't recognise you as a football supporter at all. Rather something sickly and slimey and corporate.
Despite this defenseless performance, there is hope. We have a lot of ability in the squad, and when we can be bothered and things are going our way we're a very good attacking team. But, clearly we have huge issues with complacency and commitment - our problems are almost all related to our pathetic, spineless mentality. It is relatively easy to assume that our core players are behind this mentality, and they need to be put in their place. I doubt that will happen, and we'll see Ben 'I expect to ship 2 or 3 goals today' Foster and co not giving a **** next week too. Quique can make all the plans he wants but if the players have all decided that they are fine with losing then he might as well not bother. It is now up to him to sort it out
I recognise you as a football fan who claps like a seal and waves a flag when we are losing 0-6. Takes all sorts I suppose.
Got to laugh at Deulofeu's heat map. https://www.givemesport.com/1507094...during-manchester-city-80-watford?autoplay=on
You aren't capable of recognising me in your faintest dreams matey! Seals don't clap. They move their pectoral flippers about in a clapping motion to warm themselves up when on land. Out of their natural marine environment. Another thing you won't glean from a desk in the city. Did that pass you by? They're not actually applauding anything. Least if all you.
The negativity is that we should suddenly turn from a family friendly championship/1st division team with a history in the 4th and maybe 3rd division into a behemoth of testosterone fuelled entitled rage that should question our owners, top 6 style, as to why we weren’t progressing. We should be angry because a small unfashionable London satellite town is obviously historically/logically/logistically where you would expect the prem champions to come from As far as I am concerned if you are dedicated enough to pay and spend your time following us the the inevitable massive defeat at city you can behave however the hell You like
Gary Lineker has Tweeted to say "the way things are going, Marco Silva could be back at Watford by Monday". https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49783698
I really dislike this current bunch of losers. Wonder if the club realise that an 8 0 defeat is enough to put off youngsters considering supporting Watford. But hey we've gained an extra 239 followers on Twitter from Asia, a new logo, some cryptocurrency sponsors - that's what's it's all about!
This is a baffling post. If you want to get high and mighty about people being negative after a 0-1 home defeat then maybe I see your point. We just lost 8-0 and the cowards were 5-0 down in 20 minutes! Making out people are being entitled by complaining about 0-8 makes you look a fool in my view.
I thought the post was ambivalent. Walking out on 80 mins in a Cup Final is most definitely cowardly though. F.cking off. Deserting the ship. First to the lifeboats. Women first? I doubt it. Wallet first? Assuredly skipper.
