    Thanks Ducado!

Personally, apart from yesterday of course, I've loved watching Man City on tv this season. You play the game how it should be played, a joy to behold when you're in full attacking flow. None of this keep it tight and try and scrape a 1-0 win nonsense! I hope either you or Arsenal win the PL this season, because in my opinion you both play football the right way.

For us, yesterday was a strange day. Our morning discussions revolved around us trying to keep the score respectable. By half time, we really thought we had a chance of a huge shock, so despite our limited aspirations before kick-off, it actually felt like a defeat that hurt come full-time. The old adeage of being able to take the despair but not the hope!

I wouldn't say you underestimated us consciously, but I guess when you have Spurs on Wednesday and Barca in a few weeks time, it's natural for your players to subconsciously feel the match with us would be fairly comfortable. Our recent run of form has hardly been much to write home about, after all!

I'm disappointed we lost but happy we at least made you work very hard for your win. To have to play Aguero the whole match when MP wanted to only give him an hour or so, and to be forced into making 2 changes at half-time was a credit to us.

As Pozzo Man very perceptively remarks above, the 0-1 defeat to Spurs and the good performance that night helped turn our season under Dyche. Over to you class of 2014 to do the same...

One more thing, although the 3rd goal could be described as a fluke (but there was some power from the shot) it changed your game plan, right from the off you were playing for time, feigning injuries, goalkeeper taking his time etc (we have seen it all before, it's a valid tactic) you stopped doing it and had to try and play again

The ref was awful from our point of veiw he let you get away with much more than he should have done

Don't even begin to claim you have bad luck with refs. We must be the only club in history to have had a wrong player sent off TWICE, and to have 'conceded' a goal from an outwards swinging cross. If City had the sort of inept refs we get every week, the Aguero goal would have been ruled out for a 'push'.

Woah, hold up there. As soon as the 3rd went in Pantilimon did exactly the same. How about when Aguero went "down injured" Was that not playing for time/looking for the decision? Deeney was clattered into the lead up to your first goal and want to know how all Watford fans knew this? Demichelis went up to him and apologised and shook his hand. If you want to moan about referees you've got a long way to go before ANY Watford fan will for sorry for you after our history. Many accuse our players of not being up to the physicality of the championship and if that is the case then it just shows how tough it is if you boys are complaining we got away with it.

I feel this is missing the point that every £ invested in City to win a few trophies is a £ not spent resolving the genuine poverty in their country. It's not as if they're coming from the UK, USA or Japan where the welfare system is strong; in the UAE slaves are still being carted around in beaten-up buses to worksites. To me that would leave a bitter taste in the mouth no matter what the success, as it shows Mr Mansour is acting unilaterally and couldn't actually give a ****.

City fans have a lot of class, grow up, when we were 2-0 up we were taunting them and it came back to bite us. Far more impressive to be treated as they would have treated another Prem side. If you dish it out you have to be prepared to take it.
Man City are a great side with a superb stadium and a great set of fans and the sort of side we should aspire to be playing every week, and I think that will come over the next couple of years.

Possibly friends from their time playing at Lazio/Udinese, must have played against each other a few times just

EDIT: Probably not actually, Abdi joined Udinese in 2010 and Kolarov left Lazio in 2010

Saying that Mansour has invested money in the local community and infrastructure of the club does nothing to detract from the idea that he is using Man City to conceal the slavery, torture and lack of basic human rights in the country that his family rule.

In fact it actually strengthens it.

It's funny because one of the 'deprived areas of Manchester' is one of the richest communities in the world.

I can only speak from what I experienced. Great team and great stadium and of course they have good fans, but they must have been unable to attend yesterday. Their attitude singing "easy, easy" was all wrong....IMO.

They were upset with the "United" chants last season, and I didn't hear any of that this time around. It was just all good banter. I was just surprised at their reaction as beating a team like Watford should have been bread and butter to them. They didn't show any understanding of the game we gave them......just things like "2-0 and you f***ed it up". It just surprised me they would stoop to that sort of thing really.

They've been to Munich and won this season. They've beaten United 4-0, Spurs 6-0, Arsenal 6-3.......so it's not as if they couldn't just give us a bit of credit for giving them a game and understanding we were enjoying the moment. Good fans let you do that, classless ones don't.

Not sure what you're getting at there...our factory is only half a mile from the Etihad & we have to advise visitors not to walk beyond the edge of the industrial estate....and during stock-take, the local pizza places won't deliver at weekends....not sure what community you refer to

The poorest in England are amongst the top 20% richest people in the world. People make it sound as if they can't get anything to drink without a rich Arabs intervention. It becomes more disgusting when you realise what poverty does exist in his homeland.

Who cares? Tell me, why do we need any credit from their fans, many of which may be City through and through, but even more of whom are the definition of glory hunters and only started supporting the team when Mansour took over.

Why do you want or expect any praise or goodwill from them? Of course it's nice to hear it but I really couldn't care what they think. Any of the neutrals know that we played an absolute blinder yesterday and gave City a real run for their money.

Personally, I think yesterday's performance is going to kickstart our season and I'm concentrating on that, than what some club and their fans (who mean nothing to me may I add), may have chanted.

Reply to hornet boy. At City we treat opposing fans as equals. That's why our chanting is "*** for tat". We're not patronising ,condescending or arrogant and we know we got "lucky" with the Sheikh's money, but basically we're the same as the majority of decent fans throughout the league. We didn't disrespect you.

    Fair play.

Seeing people complain that City fans were having banter back with us when they took the lead is cringeworthy.

I prefer this to the condescending, self righteous patronising we'd get from the Scousers.

I hate Scousers. Most of them are rapists.

Yea '2-0 to Watford' was 2nd on the UK trend list. High on the world list too.

Also the official wfc facebook page leapt up to over 40000 likes during the game.

yes absolutely terrified we were of your loud singing!! Hang on have I just used sarcasm? wish I understood it,
How old are you? About 8 I would guess? Anyway aside from you and your mentally challenged view of the north/south divide respect to your team and fans and your rightly proud, for me that first half was better than any perm team has played against us this season

Visiting Man City fans, welcome to the forum, thanks for taking the time to register and contribute.

Apologies for any idiots you may come across, and please remember that some posts aren't meant seriously, as I'm sure is likewise with your forums perhaps.

Ok let's nip this one in the bud now. Unfortunately we have some ******ed so called Watford fans on here who could start an argument in a phone box.

So far the Man City fans have been very gracious and complimentary to the team, to which I am grateful. We need to perform to that level consistently if we're to challenge for promotion.

I wish Man City luck and hope you achieve the quadruple, I would much prefer you win everything than Chelsea (I hate Mourinho), Man Utd (enough said), Arsenal (Wenger is blind and unsporting) or Liverpool (Brendan Rodgers...enough said).

So good luck for the rest of the season.

I beg to differ, but that's perfectly fine. I was just very surprised at the p!ss taking chanting that's all. I thought you guys were better than that. We were just having a laugh with "can we play you every week" it was obviously a joke chant. You guys were rightly upset at the Muppets that sang United songs last season, but this time we didn't disrespect you in any way. Last season you would have been well within your rights to have a go, but this season it was just good banter until the end of the match.

Your chanting of "easy, easy" and "2-0 and you f***ed it up" was just uncalled for. It just didn't show any class as it was obvious you meant it and not in a joking way. I could see the expression on your faces as I was right next to the divide of supporters .....but that's my opinion and I seem to be in the minority on this.

It does make me laugh though, that if you speak out like this, some of our more conservative fans get very upset that anything is said against anyone. I'm just speaking honestly and how I saw it on the day. Nothing more.

I think your being abit too over sensitive tbh. If the situation had been reversed our fans wouldnt have been any different to theirs. If your going to give it out, even in a joke manner, then we cant complain when we get it back.

Why oversensitive? I didn't say it upset me, all I said was I was surprised by it as I thought City fans had more class than that.....that's all. I've not said anything untrue.

No, now you're being an idiot because you're throwing your toys out the pram, grow up

Why...because my opinion is different to yours? Is that how this forum works?

I'm just saying how I saw the situation on the day, nothing more. I just thought City wouldn't go down that route, but I was wrong. Maybe disappointed in the City fans is closer to the truth, as I thought there would have been a healthy respect between the clubs after such an epic battle.
