The thing is - I would expect Aidy to enter into negotiations with players that - for one reason or another may have had huge wages, but up front say "this is what we offer in terms of pay: £xxxxx - it's non negotiable". It will never be the wages that makes people come to Watford. And for any player - if the expect more than we can offer - I hope Aidy tells them to feck off.
Unless another Mr G. ****** comes along and offers daft 20k a week wages. :rant: :doom: (To be fair to the players at the time who would not accept such an offer?)
I bet that whoever we sign, people here will moan about a) the player not being high enough quality (if he comes from Championship or lower) or b) the player has too high wages / is lazy (if he comes from Premiership) Personally, I don't think we need another striker with King, Hendo, Priskin, Hoskins and possibly Kabba (if he stays) already in the team. Not to mention Bouazza (if he stays) who is a great striker as well as winger. I read at the Observer website that Aidy wants to bring in a goalkeeper, a full back and a winger. Sounds good to me. I also hope he will bring in covers for whatever players we lose during the summer (Shittu? Bouazza?? King???).
