I think that could be the end of Macca at the club then.

    Off in the summer?

If Dario can't bring out his potential, no-one can.

He's been poor when he's played this term, but last year, he often looked better than Ash. Maybe he needs games to get confidence back.

So why has Young gone for *9 million and Macca gone on loan to a mid-table League One side?

    * 4 million too much I would admit!

Its on the 2 Official sites.

    McNAMEE MAKES CREWE MOVE

TRICKY Watford winger Anthony McNamee has today (Wednesday) secured a loan move to League One side Crewe Alexandra.

McNamee, aged 23, has joined the Gresty Road club on a temporary basis until the end of the season.

So far this season McNamee has been restricted to just 10 appearances for Aidy Boothroyd's Hornets, and makes the move north to Cheshire in a bid to secure regular football for the remainder of the campaign.

Earlier this year McNamee famously scored the only goal of Watford's spectacular FA Cup win over West Ham United.

Watford will be unable to recall the midfielder who finalised his deal this afternoon, ahead of tomorrow's Football League loan deadline.

McNamee, who has previously played on loan at Barnet, will now be available for Crewe's home match against Rotherham this weekend. Crewe are currently 13th in League One.

That is an awful lot of people now out on loan, with no recall option.

I hope we don't have an injury crisis particularly when several of the remaining squad are cup tied.

love macca, cant believe hes gone out on loan. the fact is weve now got too many midfielders and not a sinlge one of them has real quality.

Williams,Bouazza and Douglas on their day and in the right team have good quality.

I would not say Macca brought great quality although I remember against Everton he came on and we never actually gave him the ball.

We have an awful lot of players after we signed eight in the transfer window...

...and we have plenty of cover on the left wing. Bouazza, Cavalli, Smithy, Stewart (when fit again), even Powell can play there and I'm pretty sure Rinaldi would do better on the left wing than Macca. And none of these players are cup tied.

Let's hope Macca gets a good run at Crewe then :)

I don't see your point, one good goal, so what.

    - Why can't you believe it, a player who isn't getting near the 1st team and just sitting in the reserves. Surely you contemplated the fact that a player in this situation could well go out on loan.

    - Cavalli, Williams and apparently Rinaldi all appear to have quality when in possesion.

Macca drifts in and out of games too much and his final ball is inconsistent and as for tracking back well he's worse than Young was when he played wide.

He's been 'one for the future' for all too long now and hasn't lived up to the hype.

I know a crewe fan and he is over-the-moon at the signing. I'm gonna get him to give me feedback.
Macca is full of skill, but needs to improve his all round game, if any lower league manager can do that, it is Dario.

    Unfulfilled potential

I cannot think of anyone at Watford who has been given so many opportunities to fulfill their potential, can you?
If he is not holding down a first team place by now it is time to go I am affraid.

 Macca's goal in cup gave the whole squad some confidence and we won a couple after and scored more.
Also if he wouldn't of scored against West Ham we wouldnt off been in Semi-Finals.

Yes yes, and if it wasn't for Malky's amazing pace that enabled him to clear off the line from Tevez we wouldn't have been in the semis either.

Macca hasn't impressed at all this season. He needs a moral boost, he needs first team matches and he needs to prove himself with a good run in a lower divison. A loan move is perfect. End of discussion.

To be honest, can't see him or Jarret back in our colours again, League 1 is most likely Macca's level. The good thing is, if he does impress up there he might be given another chance next year but he must be behind Bouazza, Cavalli, Smith and Stewart on the left now

IMO Smith,Stewart, and Johan Cavalli(I see him as more a Central-mid) arent left-wingers so I do feel we will need Macca back next season.

I think CCC is Macca's level. I also agree with whoever it was that said if anyone can elp Macca along it's Dario. I think Macca will do a Hameur and come back loads better.

As for Jarrett - I am undecided.

Macca on a good day can be brilliant, and other days totally woefull and drift in and out of games,I personally think he needs this loan deal to get him playing and start putting in some performances.

Im not sure if AB is gonna sell him,and if he went to crewe we would not get much for him.

Next season is make or break for him if he remains here, but I think AB is now looking to move him out.
