Anyone else secretly finding that they want Luton to stay up so that we play them sooner rather than later? Or do you have the veiwpoint there is too much pride to be lost on derby day?

I vote for relegation. I hate Luton matches, they bring out the worst in everyone. :(

Are you mad? Luton matches are immense! Although I would still rather see the ***** go down...

As much as it would be funny to see them go down i'd rather take the chance of going to their place and winning, AGAIN.

Definatley want them to stay up! Can't wait to go back to '3 point road' next season ;D

Also can't wait to see their chav contingent get very irrate and threaten us whilst standing behind a row of riot police! Some things never change!

I'm sure they'll get a friendly reception when they come here like they did last season and in 2002...

You cn still do that if they go down. You might look a tad odd going 'round Luton in yellow face paint screaming "we got Mariappa..." - but it's doable ;o)

I want them down - preferably but a tiny margin on the final day - just to twist the knife in their backs so to speak.

I want them to stay up and for us to be their last opposition next season and for US to be the team that condemns them to relegation!! now that would make my year!!

  14. Chewitt

    Chewitt Forum Extraordinaire

wfchornet that would be wonderfu, especially if it won us the league or got us automatic promotion. At their place of course, make it even more special.

They'd have to keep us in for an hour never mind 15 minutes ;D Party on the pitch !! Raid those butlins chalets for booze.

    In order of priority.

    1. We stay up, they go down:) :)
    2. We stay up, they stay up:)
    3. We go down, they go down.
    4. We go down, they stay up.

Local derbies with the scum are so crap now. Firstly, the authorities will never let it be last day of the season; it wil always be bank holidays or similar at a crappy time of day when you can't get a beer. Policing and segregation will be intense and over the top. It means I will have to get innoculated again when we visit that cesspit of a kennel.

Either way suits me. If they go down, great. If they stay up, potential to go down to the kenal and win again. Second best away party of the season last year next to Play Off.

Town full of pikeys and all that

Don't have a problem with Luton Town FC or for that matter Newell, just a MINORITY of their supporters.

Derby days (without the violence) .... you can't beat them !!!

How anybody cannot dislike Mike Newell is beyond me, ever since we beat them at their place he's turned into a right whinging ******.

  20. Scalexman

They stay up on the last day of the season on goal difference.....

...then Newell gets done for taking a bung, automatic relegation and start with -20 points in league 1.

I don't mind because I'm going to be in Germany next season so I'd miss the derby games anyway,

But I won't say relegation because I wouldn't want you to miss out on the best games of the season!

they will not have to worry about derbies next year in league 1 as they will be playing franchise fc probably.

i want them down and in administration, leading them to be relegated again in 2008 as we win the championship with a record points score.

infact i want them to keep on getting relegated until their local derby is with st albans

  26. davidnewtonwfc

No, That would take the fun out of it.

I agree with the earlier comments that derbies bring out the worst in us, but nothing beats them for emothion and passion,

The feeling at Kenilworthless Road last year was electric!

It's only MK that actually consider it a rivalry, the scummers just laugh it off.

Yeah but then that's for our protection and it's part of their job...

I certainly appreciate the work they do on derby days and at every match, I read an article the other day and it's amazing how much work goes into even the smallest match with no rivalry at all!

Derby days ain't like they used to be. Oh for the fun of seeing the "mighty Maple" vault the fences to get onto the pitch.
And funny how the MuGS only appeared after the Bogside retired!

Some of the old Bogside lads came out to play back in April aswell! A few scuffles resulting in a few scu**ers planted on their backsides ;D
