so popped into the bookies at about 11.45am was bored at work. Looked around and nothing to bet on, so decided to slap £10 in the roulette machine, which i haven't done for many many many months. Then slapped another £20 in followed by £4 and a further £20. Walked away after about 5 minutes. That was fun The greyhound meetings at Sheffield and Slumberland had started. Decided to slap £10 reverse forecast on a race at Slumberland - no good didn't win. Then the next race at Sheffield decided to do £10 reverse forecast on my lucky numbers 5 and 6 being 3/1 and 5/1 respectively. Out like a hammerB burst down the wing, trap 5 speeds out of the traps and takes a first bend lead. The other dogs were well bunched and luckily trap 6 negotiated the first bend away from trouble where the other 4 dogs had a bit of a bundle. So by the 2nd bend trap 5 was 5 or 6 lengths in front of trap 6 who in turn was a decent way ahead of the others. On the final bend trap 5 was leading and trap 6 was catching up, on the line trap 6 won which was much better for me as the forecast had a 5/1 winner so the payout was bigger. £24 for a £1 stake. Very nice little lucky numbers win on the woof woofs and recouped the Roulette dosh and treated 3 colleagues to a Vietnamese lunch.
Nice. Never seen the appeal of card game based machines. I knew someone who used to bet every day, always the same bet when doing the dogs 6 and 1 reverse F/C.
Life's a gamble - everything one does is a gamble because of all the varying options and outcomes based on any one particular decision.
