If you mean getting embarassingly drunk and staggering onto the pitch, no. If you mean getting the fans going and cheering the team on to avoid relegation you obviously don't remember Derby at home three years back
Watford v Derby, 16th March 2004. Before the game we were well in the crap relegation wise. Desperately needed a win against relegation rivals Derby. Simpson came onto the pitch before the game, took the mic and explained how important crowd particpation was to the team. Then he went and sat in the middle of the Rookery and could be seen jumping up and down with the rest. Result was 2-1 to us. Short memories people! http://www.bsad.org/0304/reports/derby/hr1.html
I was at the game and it beat Delia's outburst. Pure Mustard from Simpson the bloke has got balls. ;D
Not necessarily one of my favourite games but very memorable for that reason. When he came out onto the pitch and said what he needed to say, it really spurred everyone in the ground on. I seem to remember we went 1-0 down, but we kept singing. I also seem to remember singing Yellow Army for about 25 minutes solid after half time with the rest of the Rookery. And to cap it all off, we won in the end!
If you didn't go and are reading the BSAD report, they haven't given Gavin Mahon's goal the credit he deserved. If you saw the Blackburn game, and the silky move of 1-2's which Francis then blazed wide, it was like that (except Gavin scored)
