A mate said to me couple of weeks ago that they will just wait until definitely down to go into admin, so the points deduction is done this season.

A cunning plan that will backfire, the points deduction is likely to apply next season according to the BBC :]]

The BBC seem to be staking a lot of sources on it being true and Leeds United's Chief Exec has refused to deny it.

Wow. A perfect example of how to totally wreck a big club. RIP Leeds United. It could be League 2 in 2008/9 season

And it only took 6 years.

when did rotherham go into admistartion, was it last season but carried forward to this for the 10 points, or did they go into admin in the close season.

If leeds are going into admin now - have thye been trading insolvently and for how long as it is the directors responsability to ensure the club is running on a going concern basis. I wonder what their last set of accounts read like.
The football league will surely have to invesigate. Also they are likely to get a heavy fine for the pitch invasion, so going into admin, will help in paying it as a deal will be brokered between the administrators and the creditors.

I'm not doubting the bbc but i do remember this last year aswel. I work with a Leeds season ticket and he was bleating on about it.
The loss of points will kill them next season bye bye Leeds not a great loss to the world

Leeds wont have a 10 point deduction if they go into administration.

If you read section 1 paragragh 6 of the FA rules and regulation document it states.

Any big club with lots of fans can do what they like. The FA will only clobber little teams with a small fan base.

It's that rule that should see Leeds Utd safe next season.

Aidy got out at the right time - perhaps he will go and buy Healy for £50.

Funny when you think we started their demise last season- took their coach and a couple of sound players - then smashed them at Cardiff.

Their Chairman is probably disliked even more than the club (if that`s possible) and poor old Blackwell gets kicked out and ends up in Hell!

    Good career move for Wise?:)

Not looking good is it for Leeds, now I know we had money issues a while back - but nothing of this kind of seriousness.

I think Healy will be a great addition to partner King up front with Priskin and Bouazza as backup.

According to the two Leeds fans i was chatting to on the way back from Sheffield, Bates is near bankrupt and that is why he has put no money in at all. (i believe he, like Chelsea was also near bankrupt before their takeover).
As the Hull Chairman has said, no one will want Leeds at the moment because they have no assets - no training ground, no stadium = only players of questionable value.
In theory they should be a big club, large city etc, but in reality they are now a wreck, with no clear sollution

The only way Leeds can make a come back is if someone bank rolls them, pays good money for decent players and can afford the wages.
Where you get these players from is beyond me. Aidey obviously had problems enticing quality payers to a Prem / Championship club so if Bates slush fund is empty it really could be good bye Leeds.

This time last season they saw it as a divine right that they would be back in the Premiership and here we are a season later and they are a nothing team.

Do I have any sympathy - NO!!

I hope they fall off the face of the earth and are buried in the football history books forever.

    I hate leeds.

Its clubs like Rotherham and Crewe who we should care about.

ironically, i believe if they had got promoted they would have have no problem attracting decent players, maybe not top class players but players who would keep them in the division! Thats a problem we had, players didnt want to come play for us!

You wont find me crying when Leeds go down! its amazing!

I completely forgot that Leeds don;t own their ground or the training ground, with relegation, they have virtually no assests whatsoever. I ownder if they have relegation clauses in players contracts regarding drop in wages if they get relegated? I am sure the likes of Heally and co will be on good money, if they have no clauses, they are in big doodoo.

In 2001 they were champions league semi finalists, in 2008 they could be league 2. Fantastic:]]

They are also still paying the wages on players that are not even on their books anymore.

A nice new supermarket would look good at Ellan Road

Its amazing to think that Watford FC are partially responsable for the near destruction of Leeds Utd. If they'd beaten us they'd go back to being a big club with big crowds and they wouldve stayed up. That one game ruined them.

I'm so glad to have been a part of it. :]]
