    Would assume our friendly with them will be cancelled.

    A local game is nice but would have preferred a team we don’t usually play- Orient would have been decent

    Might be on the TV?

    EDIT: Probably not as Wrexham are at home and Southampton/Leicester away.

    We will never cope playing Steve Evans's team twice.

    Probably would have been a "stronger" team for the friendly than there will be for the cup tie!

    Shortest thread of the season.

    I know we played Newcastle three times in one season, so Stevenage twice is more than doable. Plus it's not a long away trip, and a local club. I would of thought we would put more effort into the Cup lineup over the friendly but we shall see.

    It probably makes me a weirdo, but I love the League Cup 1st Round and a fixture against a team we don't normally play. So Stevenage is a tad underwhelming as we have played them in a few friendlies recently.

    I think it was 1988/89, we had them in the Simod Cup and the FA, which went to a third replay. So we played them 5 times in the space of a couple of months.
