I know we may not have so much quality but we could still have picked a bloody good second string last saturday.

From the players that didn't start, and allowing a little bit of flexibility regarding fitness (;)) , I think we could have fielded a team that would do very well.

    Lee
    Chambers(fit?), Shittu, Doyley, Powell
McNamee, Williams, Bangura or Williamson, Bouazza
    Priskin, Hoskins

Subs: Carlisle(!!), Bangura or Williamson, Jarrett, Ashikodi, Chamberlain

We are definitely building up some depth.

It does make the team stronger and more flexible, so the depth is important, but you hit the nail on the head right at the beginning of your post - Not much quality :( Still, if Carvalli and Kabba can inspire the rest of the team with displays like Saturdays, who knows ? (but did Kabba ever look like actually scoring ?)

when you keep 11 men behind the ball, dos any team ever look like scoring?

we had 4 attempts on goal compared to wet spams 3, they had off target attempts in abundance, we conserved our energy and had few off target.

    u ornssssssssssssss

Games aren't won on how many you smack wide or over the goal, if so Tommy Smith and Darius Henderson would both be worth 20 million and we would be pushing for a spot in europe.

Its about how many you stick in the onion bag......
