I can't tell you, sorry mate. All I know is his agent was at Preston today representing him. It's not a done deal yet so lets not get too excited girls and boys.

What makes you think that it is Preston who are paying?

We will give them money to take him.

For any Preston management that might be reading this:

I'd be really gutted if he went. He is crucial to our team. He has pace, skill, can score and create and he works his butt off for the team.

Can`t be Kabba as their manager Simpson is saying :

"There is one striker in particular who I would like to bring in but whether we can afford him is a different matter,".

Kabba would just be within his budget (if he can get the board to let him retain £100 of the £6 million profit from the sale of Nugent):)

yer i doubt kabba would be any ones first choice, espically if its the same player who he cant afford

Looking at Kabba and his body lauguage all he needs is a bloody goal, then it may just spark him off,I for one minute dont think he is as bad as some are suggesting here.

I dont understand why he is constantly hit with the Boo boys, same as Francis.Same as Mahon a few seasons back, and Marcus Gayle, why dont we try and support these players.

Henderson last season was Boo-ed by a section of supporters also, then he scored a few goals and all of a sudden he back in the good books of supporters.

Get of Kabba"s back, because when he scores a goal,Im sure your not going to Boo him when he does.Give him a break,Prem was not his level like the whole team was not,and coming last proved that.

Tommy smith had the sh!t tag thrown at him when we re-signed him,yet the season before was Voted Derbys player of the season.

Lets support the team and hopefully regain promotion, but to keep singling players out all the time really does not do their confidence any good, and why am I saying this..

Because Marlon King suffered this at Forest and although picked didnt give a T0ss and didnt try..and players here may play and act that way to..

    SUPPORT THE TEAM..THE SQUAD...

Like you did when saying Bouazza was 'over-rated' and we should take 2 million for him a few days ago.

    :rolleyes::]]

BTW I think the problem with Kabba is that he appeared so disinterested at time last season but who knows he might thrive in the Championship like Henderson will probably and Priskin/Hoskins.

What annoys me is when youngsters get slagged off for having one or wo bad games and people saying they are rubbish without giving them a chance to improve.

Bouazza is not worth 5mill...he has had one good season, but I didnt s1ag him off, just said he is not worth that money, and just over 2 seasons ago was at swindon on loan because he was not improving here.

This is a big season for him,and if not a big season for every player that plays.

Will he be like Marcus Gayle (albeit in a different position) and Gavin Mahon...come back to win Player Of the Season!?

   ;)

Maybe like with Francis we just expected too much?

An interesting concept. I think we had the right to expect lots of Francis, him being our third most expensive signing ever at that point (maybe even second most expensive ???). Kabba, on the other hand, has been castigated because people were frustrated with Aidy's seemingly negative policy of buying for the Championship while touting the signings as Premiership calibre. I don't think he's been booed because he's let down our expectations, I actually think he's been booed because Aidy let down our expectations!

Perhaps thats part of the explanation, but many people were happy to give the guy a chance only to be turned by his total lack of effort and seeming complete and utter inability to play football.

Williamson was hardly the midfield player we'd been hoping for but at least the bloke gave his all whenever he got onto the field.

I think we should get behind all the lads, all the time. But I do have to say, I dislike lazy players and last year he looked lazy. Yes, maybe he was out of his depth, so if he pulls on a Watford shirt this season, I hope he proves us wrong.

I think it's unfair that Kabba has become the most hated player in our squad. He has not been good, no doubt there, but he hasn't been _that_ bad. It's not his "fault" that Aidy spent £500k on him and besides, Kabba has been _MUCH_ better than Hoskins (the little we've seen from him).

I guess the rumours about bad attitude has triggered all the hatred towards Kabba. While Hoskins seems just.. well, not good enough, Kabba seems to get frustrated and bored when the team around him doesn't perform. That is unacceptable, but we shouldn't totally forget performances like against Chelsea and Portsmouth where he was, to be completely honest, very good.

I will never forgive Kabba for missing that open goal V. Chelski... could have won us the game!

i think its definitely a mix of the 2 we all wanted a quality proven striker and we got kabba people obviously weren't happy and then from what we saw of him he looked lazy though maybe with a proper pre-season and some matches under his belt he could come good stranger things have happened

Francis is a lazy lathargic mule. He has the ability to play football, but chooses not to. We have seen him play well (sparsley) but he has a ridiculous lack of passion for somebody who cost us £1.5m. When he puts the effort in, he is very useful, but I cannot abide players who won't give 100%.

Kabba on the other hand is a moron. Unlike francis, he has NEVER put the effort in. The majority of our players were not anywhere near good enough for many of the games, but they tried, and tried, and tried. Week after loss-filled week.

That is why people (like me) support Hendo, and can't stand Kabba, who won't move is fat arse about the pitch for lack of bothering.

    Seriously, you really believe that?
I can accept that some of my Hendo bashing is harsh (he's an easy target), but surely you are singing his praises a little too loudly. Somewhere in the middle is probably more correct.

hartvix - unusual for you but I think you are being very unfair to Hoskins.

He is a young player suddenly thrust into a struggling team playing divisions above his experience in a strange land (southern England) - give him time and he will adjust.

The fact that Kabba can play well makes it worse for him - because when he puts in the effort he can perform (and Warnock knows when a good strikers time is up).

So Kabba is a lazy tyke and should be told to shape up or ship out!
