I think Aidy did too but we will just have to accept very few even half decent Premiership strikers are keen to join us in our current position. I do not expect him or Hoskins to save us this season at all but I feel along with King and Henderson we will have 4 excellent Championship strikers next season. Plus Pirskin and Moses ofcourse! Hope I am right anyway...please feel free have a pop at me if he turns out to be a 'flop'
yeah hopefully will be a good signing, he did get quite a few goals last season, but i feel this is a bit of a panic buy somehow.
Quality signing and what does Colin at Sheffield know about strikers ? He just buys and buys and buys and then buys some more. This guy is good and will be an asset. Look at Sharp who Colin let go and know he is talked off as a £2,000,000 player. I still think he might be coming. I would play him instead of Smith and then have Hendo & Ashi up front with Bouazza on the other wing. We will then start to look good. ;D
I would. I hope he proves me wrong and has a stormer against West Ham but i fear he will go missing ?
i've seen brick walls with a better first touch than him!!!!! but i must admit he played super against blackburn, and im telling you now, aidy will start him tomorrow.
true, it has seemed that he's completely lost the art of killing the ball but as our irish friend says he did have an excellent game on tuesday.
I'm a fan of Smith... he does a good job on the right wing, although he had a weak period in November and December. Still, he needs to remember to lift his corners a bit more... I can see how low crosses can be useful for strikers to run onto, but low corners don't even get to the goal mouth. Me, I like long high corners where the ball goes past the goal mouth and can then be headed back across it... the goalie is usually out of place having charged to the far side.
