    Joshua 'Gordon' Brenet.

23 year old from PSV Eindhoven. Can play left or right back. This instantly interests me because we have a surfeit of ineffective, wafer-thin, fall over, paper tigers playing in those positions currently.

Fulham, Swansea and Sevilla are also interested in him. Cost is around £4m.

On the downside, I've lost confidence in Dutch defenders.

I’m hoping he’s a not ‘quite good enough winger turned full back ‘ as we ve got enough of those .

Any full back should be able to play on either side. It’s like saying you can only work on one side of the office.

    Footballers are such wasters.

All the report says is that "Watford have also scouted him previously" - there's no indication at all that we're still considering signing him. Plus he's right-footed and predominantly right-sided, and as poor as Janmaat is there is no real sense in buying a new right-back while we have Femenia and Janmaat in the squad.

    Maybe, but not many can.

There again, I can only work on one side of the office

I get why they are thought not to be able to, but essentially they could face an opponent who is left or right footed and could go wide or inside. Ok going forward it helps to cross with your favoured foot, but it's not like it's going to find a target anyway.
