[NOT HAPPENING] Jorge Meré

Spanish football journalist has linked us with Jorge Meré.

We was linked with us in early June too. Central defender, 20 years old.

 

This lad is a serious talent - Barcelona and Chelsea linked with him in past 6 months - it would be quite a signing and I would guess a few of around £8 - £10m would get him .... players like this that we are looking at are the reason we leave the Maguires', Gibsons and Ake's to others - hope we can pull this one off

 

Barcelona still want him. But likely for their B team. A smart lad would sign for us and use us a stepping stone... it wouldn't bother me in a slightest.

 

Me either - develop with us, get games for a few seasons then the big guns will pay the money to get him if they want him .... know our place, promise to develop him and sell to a powerhouse so he can progress his career in a few years time
