Utterly superb over the last two games! Goes to show what we can do as a team if ALL of our players are performing at the top of their game, rather than others carrying them along!

I personally think Stewart has had a decent season but his last few performances have been magnificent!

Francis has been woeful up until tuesday night when we beat Blackburn...now he's starting to show what he can do when he puts the effort in and grafts!

Henderson has been disappointing aswell this season, and i'm not just saying that because of his lack of goals, i'm saying it because in my opinion he wasn't playing with any aggression and looked too much of a soft touch...now he's playing like the old Hendo, and it really notices!

Who'd have thought these lads would be the catalyst behind our 2 wins this week? Certainly not me!

More of the same please chaps ;D

    Francis for definite, but..................

I think Hendo (despite his lack of goals), and Jordan have done pretty well all season. I have to agree that Francis has come good in the last two games though.

I can only assume he has been given a different roll by Aidy, since Ash has left, he may have been told to get forward more, and fill the gap behind the front two :-\ :-\ :-\

agree with all of that, and said as much last week.

    good night.

Well he was doing that in our first few games to a great deal of success.

I've wondered whether he was told by Aidy to sit back a bit more after them, to stop us being so susceptible to counter-attacks, which we appeared to be early on in the season.

Either that or he suddenly became bloomin' lazy.

Totally agree, I really hope Hendo can grab a goal he deserves one.

Its important Francis carries on playing well rather than being a flash in the pan.

Henderson always give his best and Stewart does seem more suited to the Premiership.

I am really pleased for the three of them given that we all criticise them at points over this season and now they are putting in some good performances. If they can continue in their good form, it is only going to help us pick up some much needed points.

Damien Francis is the Sun's MOTM for the second game in a row.

    At last.

From what Aidy said in the W.O this week, it sou nds like he saw what the fans saw, and had called into question Francis' 'indifferent' form up to now, whether that be down to laziness or something else. Perhaps Boothroyd told him to shape up or ship out. To his credit, so far so good.

No coincidence IMHO that Francis has come into his own at the same time Mahon has been out... Also, seen more ball on the deck as well.

Will be interesting to see if
    a) Gav comes back in for the Man Utd game
    &
    b) If it has any impact on our playing style...

And if Francis keeps the armband - not a bad record so far.

Good post bubble. I'm all for players recovering their standing with the fans. I've never been a fan of Stewarts because I've never felt he's been up to the standard. If that has now changed I'll happily change my own view. Mahon and Gayle have shown the road to redemption in recent seasons so it can be done.

    Great post!

Thought Jordan and Hendo were superb. Hendo in particular really put himself about, made a nuisance of himself, haven't seen the replay but he must have been close to that Bouazza cross/shot in the 2nd half. Inspired bit of management making Jordan the captain, obviously he must be well liked/respected in the dressing room, his fist clenched celebration towards the watford fans after another west ham attack petered out summed up his performance.

Francis did well again, but personally i'd still like to see more from him. He's big and needs to impose himself on the game and opposition more but a huge improvement from recent weeks so lets hope it continues.

    Bring on United!

I think Stewart has had a generally good season, one of the contenders for POS along with Mahon/Shittu... All 3 have done exceedingly well lately, it's just a matter of time until Hendo's first goal!!

Yes, good post. Would never thought i would say this but Stewart is definately in my top 3 this year. I just wish Hendo would score as he deserves it so much and Francis is even starting to perform now.
