[RUMOUR] Jonathan Panzo

Seems to have potential and could form a good partnership with Wilmot. Unfortunately for that reason, we won't sign him. Furthermore, we are quite well stocked for CBs with Kabasele, Cathcart, Troost-Ekong and Sierralta.

 

He’s played about half his career games at LB and half at CB, but more recently at CB.

 

True but neither are left sided centre backs.

 

Can he play left back ? Sadly "no".

 

Can he play football?

 

This doesn't seem to matter these days.

 

Would take that.

 

Probably better than Wilmot, and left-footed and probably fairly cheap, but I would have hoped that we would have used Wilmot's departure as an opportunity to bring in a clear upgrade to start alongside Sierralta and I don't think Panzo is that (yet).

Panzo is a more than adequate Wilmot replacement. Doesn’t mean a higher quality CB isn’t on the list. I really don’t think the club intend on Kabasele and Cathcart getting much game time.

Someone on Twitter has linked us to Paul Onuachu. That ain't happening either at the price they want.
