I don't want him to go on and have a brilliant career because we'll never hear the end of it on here Sorry JB I hope you continue to fail
There really is nothing 'told you so' ish about my posts. After all, it's far easier to predict failure than to spot a diamond in the rough. It's just that I always found his regular clangers LOL funny, and I can just enjoy them far more now that he isn't our problem. I'm thinking of compiling a youtube clip of them all with the Pink Panther music that plays every time Inspector Clouseau works his magic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOs2jnB6fDo
Whilst we're on the topic of the England under-21s, I've been perplexed as to why Hoban hasn't received a call up to them. Looking at the under-21 squad that went to the recent u-21 Euros, I'd say that Hoban is comfortably head and shoulders above Michael Keane and yet wasn't considered. I know I might be wearing yellow-tinted spectacles but even without them I'd say Hoban is better than Keane
I did want to wait until I had a few more bites but I'm that bored of waiting I might as well end it. It's also a good trial-and-error experiment for me seeing as I'm writing the City match day thread...
He has just signed on loan for Gillingham until January. He probably regrets not signing that contract Watford offered him now.
Don't blame him for leaving, he was never going to get game time and he wanted to play regular football - good luck to the lad, hopefully it works out better at Gillingham. Still only 23 so plenty of time to work his way back up.
