http://www.diarioinformacion.com/el...a-decanta-mejor-oferta-economica/1387251.html I hope we sign the ex Arsenal academy player and fellow striker, Walid Matata.
Good spot. Seems to be a done deal. 21 goals in 55 for Girona; Turned down Elche, newly promoted to La Liga. For a winger (wiki) pretty good. Actually owned by Real Madrid B.
He's had some really bad injuries that have kept out for a while but it's weird that before the POF Holloway was told that Palace needed to be promoted for Acuna to be interested in coming but now he's willing to settle for the Championship with us. He's more of a striker than he is a winger.
Be very amusing if we beat Holloway to a signing.... can't be right can it, especially as everyone knows we are banned from making transfers http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nt-sign-Real-Madrid-striker-Javier-Acuna.html Interesting if true if this is a direct signing and not via Udinese. Could also turn out to be another of those rumours.... it is silly season after all

Girona are actually playing the play-off final at the moment to get promoted to la liga. Thet lost 1-0 at home yesterday to Almeria, return leg on Saturday I think. It says that we havey reached the 1st step to an agreement with him. We offered more money than Elche. The only thing the article says about Almunia is that he played for us last season. Oh and it is Acuña
Girona came 4 in Spanish Second division and Acuna scored 21 in 55 appearances Watford came 3 in English Second division and Vydra scored 22 in 47 appearances Ill take those stats.
you can have this one ñ (copy and pasted this) ... but for Windows in accessories there is also a useful little app called a character map.
Elche is going to be without one of the players they wanted to strengthen their strikeforce. Everything points to Javier Acuña playing next season for Watford in the Championchip, second-highest division in England. The Uruguayan attacker has opted for the best offer, that was significantly higher than Elche. Even Acuña has already reached an agreement in principle with the team that also boasts the Spanish goalkeeper Almunia and that this season has plans to be promoted to the Premier League. The Paraguayan forward appreciates Elche`s interest, which has attempted to negotiat with his agent, but, in the end, it has been decided that the best package is offered by Watford. Given the impossibility to sign Javier Acuna, the sports commission of Elche continues to search for other strikers, because at the moment only account with Choir and Powell and the idea of the coach is to bring at least two attackers, covering Angel and Linares. They also tried for David Barral, but the price requested (1.5 million) was too high and negotiations faltered. Sporting Gijon was transferred to the Orduspor of Turkey, for two million euros, but the club have complained to UEFA about the Turkish entity because it believes are still owed 600,000 euros from the deal. Before these parameters, Barral is virtually ruled out, unless there are major changes many things in the next few days.
And there's a nice example of how a football agent should behave; quietly, behind the scenes, small piece in the press, secure a good move for his client, everybody happy.
So, is he Paraguayan, or Uruguayan? Is he a racist?, or is suggesting all Uruguayans are racist, racist?
He was a glorious wonderkid a few years back on FM. I can't remember which version, but he was damn near unstoppable up front with my Chinese regen Wang Wen.
Marca think he's going to Espanyol so don't get too excited yet http://www.marca.com/2013/06/20/futbol/equipos/espanyol/1371720805.html#comentarios
Palace fans commenting to the effect of "he chose a Championship team over a Premier League team, so he must only be in it for the money. Why would anyone choose Watford over us?"
