27 mil on Hummels. Would need to nearly double that to get Sarr which isn’t their model at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic!
Its all relative though, if they sell Sancho for >£100m then I could see them reinvesting 50% and banking the rest
Crazy £27m record fee paid. And what they’ve achieved as in recruitment selling players and still being an established force in Europe. Plus keeping hot on the heels of Bayern. That’s a club that’s run well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hopefully the bookies are as clueless this time as they were a week or so ago when they had Sarr at 1/10 to join Liverpool...
Villa are the sort of outfit that just can't help but splurge a load of cash up the wall. If any of the lesser PL teams are going in for him, my money would be on them. Can't see it though.
He's ambition hopefully stretches more than another relegation battle in a dull attacking team with basically one talented player (although Watkins and Toure might come good)
I really don't get why people put stock in bookies odds for these things. They are as clueless as the rest of us.
True. Any decent player would Jet in for a word in their Shell-like about wages, the Murco waters of the transfer market, eh?
Player transfer odds are a terrible betting market, if you find yourself sinking into those then you have a real issue.
In bed, feigning illness while praying for a move? I'm actually thinking he's more likely to stay than plenty of the others, given he's worth a lot more and fewer teams can afford him.
Well he starts today, so despite some sarcastic responses from my post yesterday, that is a promising sign.
Could tell he wasn't quite 100%, he didn't properly go at them, but his linking up with JP and Ngakia was an absolute joy. Who knows, this might be his last game for us, or one of his last games, but if it is, what a way to go out!
