http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1807_5457178,00.html Galway United captain Jay O'Shea looks to be on his way to England - with Middlesbrough looking his most likely destination. He scored the winner against Bray United in a 2-1 last Friday and he looks to have signed off in style. Reports from the Emerald Isle claim that Middlesbrough are in pole position to conclude a deal for the winger, who can also play as a striker. But scouts from Portsmouth, Watford and Falkirk have all been checking on him recent weeks, as have Derby - who almost signed the player last summer. "Hopefully my agent will sort something out and hopefully I'll be going to England," O'Shea told The Connacht Sentinel. "He and Nick Leeson [Galway chief executive] have told me it was my last game for the club." -------------------- Anyone know anything about him? Maybe WatfordEire
Heard very good things about this lad, with some reports thinking he'll even go to the Premiership. Would be very cheap considering the financial trouble Galway United are in and wages would be cheap also. Cork City (the club Reading signed Kevin Doyle) from and have a few very good players atm have been issued a wind up notice, practically meaning that are closing for business, which although is sad for the league, is good for us if we're on the ball. Joe Gamble is one who'll go places. Mark my words. I mentioned Pat McCourt over a year ago on this forum and last summer he signed for Celtic.
