    Then it was yesterday .....

How was bringing on a Left Back in place of an attacking midfielder/striker ever going to do anything but consolidate a mediocre point ????

I realise that we don't see what Adey does in training but we just seem to be so devoid of ideas that something needed to be changed.

As a side issue, alot of so called pundits are now saying that Bolton are no longer long ball, when thay haven't been for the past 18 months.

We do lack the ability to call on one of our subs to change the game.

Aidy usually only makes subs to consoilidate points. Not to go on to win the game.

I do wonder if Aidy does know what to do with regard to sub changes?

Maybe it is a confidence thing with regard to Priskin.

I do agree we didn't exactly have many options though.

So who did you propose to bring on ??

Based on recent performances none of the bench were going to change the game.

I completely agree with Budfrog. We had a striker on the bench, and bringing him on would have been much better. Aidy doesnt really ever seem to make any / good substitutions...

He did last season so thats not the issue... i think its more a case of not having the confidence to change things around while we are drawing... the old saying if it aint broke dont fix it

I actually don't agree with this habit of have two defenders in the 5 subs, add in the keeper and your choice is very limited.

yesterday i would have had macca on the bench instead of Powell.

Within 15 mins left yesterday I would have had Smith and hammer off, switched Young out wide with Macca on the other flank and priskin up top with Hendo.

Draws are not going to keep us in this division.

He bought Powell on, pushed stewart into midfield alongside Bangura and Francis and pushed Bouazza into attack with Young and Hendo!

He went 4-3-3 at the end...that's looking for a winner is it not?

Simple fact is he replaced an attacking midfielder/striket for a defender .... he could have gone 4-3-3 or even 4-2-4 and still kept more attacking players on the pitch.

I think Jobr is acorrect in that we don't need two defenders on the bench abd that Macca and Priskin should have been used or even Jarrett and Priskin.

If he has got someone like Mariappa on the bench who can play play all the way across the back four, he can have some more attacking options on the bench. Although having said this, he doesn't use the substitutes anyway.

What other attacking options do we have to put on the bench.

Other than the 16 that are named in a line-up we have no-one else!!
