Seriously. I had one of my technical reports nominated for a worldwide award with my company for fixing a serious technical issue back in November, (which is a shock in itself as it was when the officials closed). They're giving me 10K as an award! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . That's 10,000 yen (Japanese HQ) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Which is about £42 at todays exchange rate . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Dinner for 2 in the curry house then :]]
Dinner for two sounds a little selfish way to spend your new found wealth. How about buying a pint for each of the first 14 forum members to say "well Done"? Oh, well done by the way :]]
I just found out my student loan went into my account a week earlier than i expected. Result. Then i found out i'd have been able to afford to get to the semi final. Anything but a result.
I'm not sure how many people have replied so far but... well done! No seriously, that is an achievement to have your work recognised like that, congrats, spend the £42 well! But not all at once! :]]
