Expect to hear that phrase every Saturday afternoon on Sports Report from the middle of August for about 9 months. It'll be like Groundhog Day every Saturday for the poor Tigers fans. Bless 'em. At least Derby County have set them an achievable target, and when they've had their Premier League experience they can go back to breeding with their cousins.
Good luck to Hull. If we couldn't do it, then they deserve it and I hope that they will prove to be the exception that proves the rule, being underdogs that actually thrive in the Premiership.
God help me, I will follow them next season. Best of luck to Hull. It ain't going to be pretty. I like that huge lummox they have, with the name reminiscent of farting...Windass.
Love them or loathe them, I just can't ever see Derby Countys record being broken, not even by Hull or Stoke. 1 win from 38 is terrible. Barnsley beat more prem teams than they did this season, and even we scored 24 points during our worst season. I don't particularly like Phil Brown, but for the sake of the game, we have to hope that teams like this can survive, before the Prem becomes even more of an exclusive club than it already is.
I hope hull do well, to be fair - they're all set for the premiership, sponsered stadium, sponsered goal announcements, sponsered substitutions, sponsered extra time.....
The only hope for the Premiership is that Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool be whisked away to a pan Europe superleague and let the Premiership become competitive again. It is quite dull and unenjoyable to watch those teams play against the other Premiership teams. Just one man's opinion.
There are already a host of crap teams in the Premiership that avoided promotion by the skin of their teeth. I fully expect the likes of Sunderland, Bolton, Wigan and Fulham etc to be right down there next season. This will give Hull a much better chance of avoiding relegation. I'm pretty certain they'll do far better than Derby.
I think Hull will finish highest of the promoted 3.......but it all depends on who they are able to sign. If promoted clubs have no chance as is becoming the trend, no decent player will sign for them, it will become a vicious cycle. I hope I'm wrong!
Not for me, would just cost me more money to watch us humiliate ourselves every week, i don't see any of the £60 million.
