Man Utd keeper Tim Howard has dropped a heavy hint that his future lies away from Old Trafford.

Could be worth a punt if we can't secure Foster. Wages may be a problem though.

Surely manure wouldnt be so greedy as to keep both of them?

If he leaves Utd, I think that would put an end to any chance we might have of getting Ben on a permaenant basis, if we had any chance in the first place, that is? :(

Do you guys rate Howard enough to want him at our club? I don't - I'd rather keep Lee than a Tourettes-ranting yank.

I have no problem with people for having Tourettes.

I also have no problem with 'Yanks'. (JdM)

It is all down to quality.

I would have him at the club. I think manure would prefer to have ben on their books if they both return to the club.

Anyone who went to goodison this year remember the howard chants? They were funny!!

    berkshirehorn presumably I upset/disappointed someone

Was about to say the same thing.

SAF sees Ben as his long term keeper after Van der Sar. Rich Lee's developing into a first class keeper so it's a back up we'll be looking for not an expensive prem keeper.

I think Richard Lee's the intended backup. He's not good enough all round to be first choice in my opinion. As for Howard - no thanks! I don't think he's got it either. Bit too error prone.

I was making a (poor) joke - of course joking about serious illnesses is very poor taste. I apologise. On the other hand - americans are fair game and all are guilty until proven innocent in my book. JdM is of course did that by quitting the states for England but all others are butts (of jokes that is) until they can give just cause why they should not be.

How long is VDS gonna stay around for?

As long as SAF has VDS and one other I feel we can keep getting Foster.

Don't they also have the former West Brom keeper? I think Foster is ours for one more season.

Question is if we want him?

Hasnt VDS just signed a new contract till end of 2008 season? SAF has been quoted saying he can still compete at this level for another couple of seasons.

You think they would lend us foster for a third season?
All 4 of their keepers i think can compete well in the premiership and i would be happy to see any of them at the club (obviously not VDS).

No way. He'd rather play week in week for the Horns.

Even if he was first coice he'd rather play for Watford. Who wants all that Champions League rubbish!!!

    ;D

he is a good keeper and i don't think his wages would be too bad as he will know himself he will have to take a slight cut. foster would of course be everyones first choice but i don't see why SAF would have bought him just two sell him on 2 years later.

also Kuschak is only on loan so he won't be there next season, and if howard goes that only leaves 2!
