How much of that win was down to blackburn being really bad? i thought the reason Hendo and Francis did so well was partly because they had so much space, and Hendo won so many header because there defenders were so poor.
i watch the man city vs blackburn game and they rip city to bits but tonight they where bad but we played really well so abit of both really
I think we made them look bad. Mark Hughes likes Blackburn to be physical and intimidating. It didn't work against us. We might not be the best footballing side around, but we'll do anybody in a scrap. We even found time to play a fair bit of football!
Agree with Kern, we limited the amount of ball their danger men had. Players like Bentley, Pedersen and McCarthy and stopped them playing their game. The midfield battle was always going to be key and we won that battle.
Remember its always OUR fault a team plays badly against them because we get a bit too strong at times and dare to battle hard.
Sit down shut up We get enough of this from the press and the media, without our own fans saying it. It is never us that play well it is always that the other team have UNDER PERFORMED, OR HAD A BAD DAY Its about time we are given credit when credit is due, its plain and simple, "WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM" So as I say in the title SIT DOWN SHUT UP!!!!
But we have played a lot lot better this season and lost. Had we only drawn the game, the moaners would be out i force at Hoskins and Hendo's very good chances. Should have been 4 -1 but it wasn't and we hung on for a desperate win.
The Blackburn defence were shocking and their midfield had no structure, and we battered them there, as PYA said, we've played better before and lost, But at the end of the day, who cares? WE GOT 3 POINTS!!!
Thing is you could analyse any result and say it was as much to do with one side being bad as the other being good. Same with a lot of goals - a healthy percentage are due to opposition mistake. Arguably only Demerit's wasn't last night and that was due to a fantastic cross from Hameur.
