Useful young signing. Might also give someone for Tamas to keep an eye on and chatter to.

Don't know why we need another young keeper with Loach and the promising North coming through. Perhaps Priskin is a bit loney and fancied some young male Hungarian company;)

Perhaps we should of gone for that Ronaldinho fella? would've given Rinaldi someone to keep an eye on and have a chatter to . . .

Apparently the offer of one of Simpson's dodgy holiday homes wasn't enough to swing the deal.

Watford have swooped to sign Hungarian starlet Botond Antal from Ujpest.

The 16-year-old goalkeeper has enjoyed trials at Nottingham Forest and Reading, but he has now accepted the offer from Watford.

"I know every day [in my career] I must practice, I've never been satisfied with what I've reached," an ambitious Antal told Nemzeti Sport.

Antal will turn professional at Vicarage Road once he turns 17.

Ujpest coach Istvan Urbanyi admits he could not stand in the way of Antal's move to England

"There's a theory that at this young age one shouldn't allow the player to move abroad, first he should play and get stronger in the Hungarian 1st Division" Urbanyi said

"I cant deny this oppinion, but I think every footballer is different in many points. Botond received an offer that would have been a mistake to reject and not only on the side of money. It is a happy end if he goes because surely he'l; become a proffessional goalkeeper"

Well that signing will have absolutely no effect on the first team for at least 3 years, probably more.

Lets all make a mental note and move on.

you aren't going to say we dont want him because we already have good young keepers - not all of them will turn out good, and if they do it means we make a tidy profit. hopefully they'll all teach each other something and become the 3 best keepers in the world ;)

Will be a decent signing. Obviously, he can not be considered as a great signing as yet , as he could turn out crap, but a 16 year old goalkeeper with potential sounds good, and we may well see him in 3ish years.

However lets sign some players that will improve the first team ;)

Bit skinny isn't he? I suppose he's only a nipper and he'll fill out.

Well hopefully it will be a decent signing.

also thought he was a bit lanky but suppose doesn't matter so much with a goalie.

I wouldnt get too excited loads of goalies are tipped to be the next best thing and dissapoint

should give loach some competition for our best young keeper, although obviously loach is older

and as already said lot of keepers never become the end product people thought they would e.g Richard wright tipped as englands next number 1 now isnt even in the set up

Do you mean North? I think he's Welsh? Though I'm not 100% sure on that?

Have to agree with that, it's good we are building for the future, and you never know, another Hungarian may bring a happier Tamas to the pitch...?
