The big man returns to the england squad for the games against Israel and Russia, seeing as AJ hasn't scored yet this season and DeFoe has barely played also D.Bent missed Spurs' game with a thigh strain i think it's a good move by McClaren. Heskey has international experience which can prove vital in games such as the two coming up.
read in the paper a couple of days ago, england have a full team injured, you can make a very strong looking team out of our injured, including foster in goal, ashley young, david bently, heskey, it has gone a touch down hill, remember though heskeys a very very strong player, out stregnthened malky last year i think.
with the amount of players we have out injured i think bringing in heskey is a wise move as the other contenders arent getting much match time at the moment
I suppose Titus Bramble will get called to play in next defence next:dismay: To be honest, Heskey actually looks a better bet than Defoe at the moment, how can that bloke be happy with being 4th choice at Spurs and just getting 10 mins each week (must be getting a good wage)
Heskey wouldn't even be in my last resort plan. i.e The plan you write in case the entire football league catch ebola and die simultaneously. I would just pull out and go pub.
IMO a good move by McLaren. Struck up a good partnership with Owen for both Liverpool and England. He'll bring the best out in Owen, which is what he needs! I think he's far better than Peter Crouch anyway :dismay:
