Got my free turkey from work today and it's a bit tooooooo big , have enough to feed the whole message board !!! every year I get asked what size I want and normally have a medium , well last years was a bit on the small side so this year I thought I would go for the large . Little did i know that a 27lb Ostrich would turn up, how i wished i'd asked first. apart from throwing the leftover in the bin , what else can i use it for
My mum does a really nice turkey bake thing, Get a tin of campbells Mushroom soup, it;s the condenssed stuff. Stick it still condensedd in a pyrex dish, put your left over turkey in, mix in some sweetcorm and maybe some broccoli or cauliflower sprigs, top with breadcrums and finally finish with some grated cheese, bake in the oven for 30 - 45 mins. serve with some veg and chips.
I have no problem cooking it ,I love cooking christmas diner . means i get to open the lager early doors whilst i'm in the kitchen. Just dont know what to do with all the left overs
