Im sure simpson and co dont really care about the watford luton rivalry apart form its cost, and it seem that some fans also seem to be caring less about it what a shame. about the bristol game when games like that have late kick off then thats going to happen, but if the fans have no passion for the club then the club would be losing money anyway with nobody buying tickets and other such stuff.
Bearing in mind we paid his wages for the last twelve months while he worked out his Demons/Injury problems/drinking what ever you choose to believe, a months wages is little compensation and in the scheme of things makes little difference..... At least (for me) it convinces me he was genuinely injured or he would have been sent packing up the M1 ages ago.
That's fair enough Flynn, as someone once said, "I may disagree with what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it." Still, if Clarke's career had been ended, or if he struggled to make the 1st team again for whatever reason, where would the two way loyalty be then? Would we have a whip for him, or hold a bring and buy sale? No, we'd happily pack him off to the pikeys or worse and not give a ****. Hence, he has to look after himself and grasp the opportunity of 1st team footy. Hopefully, this will make him a better player for us and benefit us in the long term. I hope to see him back in a month's time, and pressuring for a 1st team place.
I thought CC looked surprisingly well when he turned out for the reserves at charlton the other week. He won nearly everything in the air.
Are you joking? WHEN we get relegated i definately want scum to be one of our games next season!!! why do you want them to get relegated when it would hurt them more to stay up and have us take the **** home and away next season?
I knew I should have worn my glassses. Couldn't understand why the taxi was so expensive from the station to the ground - i got of at Chatham not Charlton.
WOW WOW WOW AND DOUBLE WOW! To be honest I was seething when the text alert came through at lunchtime telling me where Clarke was going! I was sat in my car driving just past Wembley when I almost crashed into the bloody thing I thought "Not there.... anywhere but there" Now after reading through everyones comments I guess it doesnt hurt so ive calmed down a bit. There IS one big point to make though... once again an email / newsletter / propaganda pamphlet is sent out by Ashton last week stating that "We need to work on the core VALUES that hold this club together" Hang on let me find the email.... "All of our staff have recently spent some time looking into Watford FC, the values that underpin the club" (SENT ON Mon 26th Feb) Yes Mr Ashton that includes a perfectly NATURAL hatred of our rivals. So five days later Clarkes off to Luton to assist in their escape from relegation OBVIOUS MOVE! THATS WHAT F*****G ME OFF SO MUCH ABOUT THE CLUB RECENTLY The way CONSTANTLY say one thing, then do something else Right now I wouldnt be surprised if they announced we were merging with the SCUM. I can almost hear Ashton & co bleating about how marvelous it will all be. Weve been almost brainwashed into forgetting who we are and believing we're not a football club steeped in history and tradition. We are merely a business working towards eventually making a profit. Just another example of football going down the pan.... Im adding this one to my list. :doom:
We are hardly steeped in history and tradtion anyway really? Welcome to the day where football clubs are run like a business....... To be honest do you think Mr Ashton or the Russos 'hate' Luton - and Aidy aswell? I doubt even Mr Simpson does and he is a Watford 'fan' By core values he probably means the 'family club' experience and other off the field stuff.
Blame the governmet and authorties and the EC. Its all about political correctness, they took football away from the fans and took control in England when they made all seater stadiums. We are lambs to the slaughter and have the privelage of paying for it as well. KJ I am sure Mark Ashton was the one who said CC must go out and get first team practice, lets send him to le bog fc to wind our fans up. If people really really really hate Lootown so much, why don't they go up there and fight on match days and generally cause them grief? It sounds like some fans hate lootown more than they love watford.
Aidy's comments on Clarke's move from the WFC Site. Now will you all understand the move was for the best of WFC. "A few clubs came in to enquire about Clarke but Luton were the only club to make that firm." The Hornets' boss hopes that a month of regular competitive football will see Carlisle return ready for Premiership action. "I spoke to Clarke and he said to me that he hoped the politics of the situation wouldn't get in the way of his welfare and I thought that was a fair thing to ask. "Clarke has been playing reserve football, but nothing replicates first team action and both Watford and Clarke need him to be playing games at a good standard. "The main thing is that this deal will benefit Clarke and it will benefit Watford while Luton will get the services of a great player for a short time. "He will get five games under his belt with Luton and will come back to us a match-fit player."
FFS KJ how can you think that some fans' hatred of the club up the road is a core value of WFC? :dismay:
