So Young's gone but I think we have a even better player still at the club. This season especially Boozer has really come into his own and has looked like a pretty leathal left winger. Whatever Swindon did him I don't know but it worked! The way he put that cross in last night for the winner really showed that to me - watching the replay that ball was dropping and spinning and he was arriving at speed. Most players would have rammed it into the stand with an embarrassed look on their face at the missed opportunity. But he kept it perfectly under control and laid it right onto Jay's head. It really was a top draw cross. Add to that his surging run and cross against the Arse, his 'goal' against Middlesboro, his freekick up at Wigan and his general all round strength and pace and I think we've got ourselves a gem.

I actually think on balance he's been better than Young in every single game I've seen us play this season. If only he could add a few more goals to his game and we could be seeing £10m bids for him too in the near future!

I love this ugly Frenchman/Algerian. He has pace and is 100%. Can play up front too.

Hmmm, Young was pretty special against Fulham at the Vic (2 goals and 1 assist?).

I know what you mean though, Bouazza is improving and he will certainly ease the loss of Young.

Shoulda qualified what I said - I've seen 13 games to date and Fulham wasn't one of them...

hammer's been my favourite all season. i've posted numerous messages about his speed, strength, first touch and especially commitment.

He's like the terminator, he will never, EVER, give up.

Has anyone mentioned how clever and controlled Jay's header was? (sorry too many threads to trawl through)

Hameur IS special. He's less skillfull than Young IMO but his pace and strngth makes up for it. He's one of our players who definately has premiership standard and one we'll have to fight to keep if we get relegated.

I think the biggest void from losing Ash is his abilities at right wing. Smith is doing well but needs competition. On the left Boozer is equally good nd Macca a decent reserve, up front we'll be alright. Get in a right mid and we'll stay up.

I think the current batch of players work well together as they've come up through the youth and reserve team together,

Hameur has been our hidden jewel this season, I wasn't at the game but his free kick away to Wigan was special, I hope we can keep a hold of him!
