i know we don't play the very best football here in germany, but it's so close in the bundesliga: 12 teams have to fight to stay up, incredible 1 FC Schalke 04 56 2 Werder Bremen 54 3 VfB Stuttgart 52 4 FC Bayern 50 5 Leverkusen 42 6 1. FC N*rnberg 41 7 VfL Wolfsburg 35 8 Energie Cottbus 35 9 Hertha BSC 35 10 Hannover 96 35 11 VfL Bochum 33 12 Alem. Aachen 33 13 Hamburger SV 32 14 Bor. Dortmund 32 15 Eintr. Frankfurt 31 16 Arminia Bielefeld 30 17 FSV Mainz 05 30 18 M'gladbach 25
I went on holiday to Berlin in 1998 and have followed them ever since. I've got a Hertha shirt with Rehmer 33 on the back tucked away somewhere.
Now I wish the prem was that exciting! Though I bet Bayern still come back and win it! Are Energie Cottbus the small team from the East with a little stadium? They could qualify for Europe but could also easily go down! Dortmund going down would be like Liverpool being relegeted as well
yes, cottbus is the little east club and dortmund has to play against schalke on day 33. schalke could become 'meister' and dortmund could go down u must know that dortmund and schalke are arch-fiends
I follow VFB Stuttgart. We have had a pretty good season, better than last year! I'm off to Berlin this Summer, (June I think?)
and here it is, the current league table after 30 games 1 Schalke 62 2 Bremen 60 3 Stuttgart 58 4 Bayern 53 5 Leverkusen 45 6 N*rnberg 44 7 Hertha 38 8 Cottbus 38 9 Hannover 38 10 Hamburg 36 11 Bochum 36 12 Wolfsb. 35 13 Dortmund 35 14 Frankfurt 34 15 Bielefeld 33 16 Aachen 33 17 Mainz 31 18 Gladbach 25
Well at least Hertha are edging away from the trap door. Have they appointed a new manager yet? I know they just recently sacked the last bloke.
yes, they fired g*tz, now the former reserve team coach karsten kleine trains the team til the end of the season
how are 1.fc cologne doing in the bundesliga 1?? they are my german team, but i dont get to hear much about nowadays
they only play in the 2.bundesliga, they can't go up this year, perhaps next year with their famous manager christoph daum
lol yeah i meant the bundesliga 2... i was confused, i saw they got relegated last season (they were bottom wernt they?) but for some reason forgot
i don't know if they finished bottom. but cologne is the biggest club in the 2nd league with the most money and the biggest stadium (about 50000 seats). nevertheless only a place in the midfield of the table

i think its 1.fc cologne that do youll never walk alone... i think i saw it on some merchadise when i was out there
Koln - great city - good night life - joint smoking bars - bratwursts every where, great corn on the cob (hot) outside the main station for €2 ( was when i was last there) some decent beer, a decent lake to go and relax by and wacth the totti strut there stuff. Koln 9/10 on the vistscale. Highly rcommended.
almost every team copied u'll never walk alone (it only sounds really great at dortmund when 80000 sing it) the stadium at cologne is nice sure, but u should visit allianz arena, still better
