Due to recent injuries and that it was a sale, not a loan I would say no. That book is closed, thank you for the memories. Also, consider the message it sends to the squad you can bail out when it gets rough and be welcomed back after. Doesn't sit right with me. We were ultimately undone by having a lack of leaders and characters in our relegation season and this would undermine a lot of work we have done to rectify this.

Exactly. I think it was done to free up a loan space in the January window for Udinese. Having said that, I would have thought Pussetto would have been the more logical choice to have done that type of deal with.

God knows why Pussetto only left on loan if there are loan limits in Serie A...

I'd imagine the reason it was Geri and not Pussetto was that Geri would be a bit more lucrative for us in the case that we didn't get promoted?

Not really. We were so skint this year I believe we had to take a bridging loan out to cover a fee instalment due from Udinese on Pereyra. If Udinese has returned the £7m for Pussetto at start of season rather than extracting him on loan perhaps that could have been avoided. And bridging loans cost money.
