I’ve not yet watched GoT.
Could someone summarise the story line?
Channel 4 News with Jon Snow.
It's available on Kinder. Or Tinder.
I think it's similar to GoS but later in the alphabet and without Chris Kamara and the one on the left.
Shall I, shan't I?
Nah! I'll let you watch tonight
I believe it is based on the fantasy lives of machaevelin castle living turtles owned by a fat nerd.
Imagine how Americans view medieval Europe and Asia but with boob aplenty.
Racist against gingers
Sex, violence, incest, back stabbing, sex, dwarfs, war, ghosts, sex.
Bit like this place.
Sounds like a Kelso post.
Could the mods publish the height of all posters?
Why does anyone watch this rubbish ? It's clearly all made up, none of it actually happened.
More like a Hoddesdon LTC committee meeting, without the sex, incest and ghosts bits!
I thought I was the only person who didn't watch this. At first it was because I'm a bit squeamish and heard it was ultra-violent (WestWorld and Fortitude are about my limits). Now I avoid it on principle because I can't stand all the hype.
You’re not. Never seen a single episode.
I've not seen any of it.
Tonight I'll be at Vicarage Road watching a game of throw-ins.
It seems there’s a small cult of us who have never watched it and have no intention of doing so.
Count me in.
People who haven't watched Game of Thrones have become the new vegans.
I've seen more people today talk about how they don't watch it than those talking about the show.
I used to be a “I’m not going to like it as there is all this fuss and hype” types.
Give it ago, watch the first episode it’s quite fun and good. If you don’t like it enough to watch another episode then it’s only an hour wasted but you might. It’s like people who don’t like to try new food.
I’m still not watching breaking bad though. Saw the first episode, not interested. Not sure what all the fuss and hype is about, if anything it puts me off
Same as you regarding Breaking bad. Slept through the first 2 episodes, that was more than enough.
GoT just isn't my thing. Looks too Lord of the rings, Harry Potter ish to me.
They are all quidditch *****'s IMO.
Haha, was just having a similar discussion yesterday with my wife. It's truly bizarre how militant/proud some people can be about the fact they've never seen something.
It needn't be anything to do with pride: just a matter of observing that the media assumption that everyone watches or is interested in something is factually incorrect.
When has any media outlet assumed that outside of hyperbole?
That’s exactly the point.
...so they haven't?
You’ve lost me. You’re saying that the media doesn’t imply the everyone is watching it? Because I think that is precisely what they are doing. That’s the nature of the hyperbole.
Never heard of it. What is this Hypermole. Is it a bit like Dangermouse? If so I'm interested.
Kid’s story with sex and violence.
When the ‘white walkers’ show why does no one just take the piss ‘Shaun of the Dead’ style?
‘State of that....wooooooooh’
All those white faces says John Snow.
I've never seen it. Not saying that to be different, but I fell about 4 seasons behind and couldn't be bothered to catch up.
I will try at some point.
This. I eat meat solely to incur the wrath of militant vegans. It's a past time I enjoy immensely. I hope one day to get one so angry they feint so I can suggest that it wouldn't have happened if they had any iron in their diet.
The whole point of me not watching Game of Thrones is so I can swiftly end any conversation and run a mile from anyone that starts banging on about it.
Same goes with Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Lost and any other over hyped serials. There's so much other good independent telly out there that people are not jizzing themselves over that deserves a look in.
