Thought you might all like to see some recent stats: Bandwidth shouldn't be an issue, but I'll keep an eye on it.
Do you know the reason why there was a sudden increase in sites (orange bar) on the 2nd? Seems a bit of an anomaly that! I guess when you created this forum you never expected that circumstances would cause it to kick off like it has in the last 24 hours!
I'm pretty sure that was yahoo bots making a library of the site for search engines. At one point we had almost 500 guests, all pointing back to yahoo. It was no coincidence that 2 of us registered our url with yahoo the day before GOD NO! It was gaining popularity and members exactly as I'd hoped. The community was building nicely and the boards were evolving then WHAM, GS closed the officials down. To be honest traffic had increased quite a bit since the fans forum last week, so we'd already had a bit of practise for more traffic, (and more morons) ;D
it is refreshing to see so many new faces and as yet it hasnt been TOO bad on the moron front, the majority of debates have been pleasant and people have respected others points of view with very few exceptions.
WOW look at the hit ratio for this month.... incredible up turn... job well done Admin, think you hit on a winner with this forum wtg. Might be worth as some have mentioned approaching a few companies with a view to getting some sponsorship to make it all the more worthwhile than it must be already. with figures like that i dont think it would be hard to get some on board especially if you pinpoint sport/football related ones.
i actually thought the weekend would be quieter, no game plus some tend to use the boards from work only.
