Time for a new forum header. If you'd like to design one, then now's your chance. Our regular header designer, (Foster26), has given her full backing to the competition and may enter herself. If succesfull it could become a regular thing. Some tips on good header design... Width must be 710 pixels, but the height can vary from the current 110 pixels to 250 pixels if required Due to the black outer border of the forum, darker headers currently work best, see the current one as an example Don't try to be too clever, one of the most popular was the simple FA Cup with wfcforums next to it and took about 3 minutes to make Any headers that are used, we will pay 2000 'Orns for the privelage and a huge shout to the designer. Let header design competiton No.1 begin. Post them here or e-mail them to me (admin AT wfcforums DOT com), and I'll put them here.
I'd hope to use quite a few of the entries as future headers. I think a poll would be useful, but if anyone wants to post theirs anonymously then simply e-mail it to me and I'll post it on your behalf.
Just an idea to prevent any bias voting, people who wish to have there's entered can e-mail them to the address you gave and then you post them and then put up the poll. That way the winning entry would be down to their banner and their banner alone.
Or why not give any half decent one a go? You still get the prize, Admin can filter out the carp / badly sized ones and no competitive problems.
I use Photoshop but I think it's about 600 quid. HAve a look for PHotoshop Elements or a shareware package called Paint Shop Pro
Anything that can save a .jpg, .tif, .gif or .eps file. I can convert anything this end. Photoshop, (good but expensive), Paint Shop Pro, (good and cheap), MS Paint, (free but not as versatile), plus there are bindles of stuff out there for free or shareware. Just do a google search for "free paint programs".
For free software which is almost as good as photoshop I would recommend "The ****" at http://www.****.org which stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program and is nothing perverted. :]]
James, after criticising foster26 for not having a pic of Foster in this season's kit i would have thought you would have used the current badge.
Funny you should say that, we're currently about to have a new kitchen put in and the wallpaper has been stripped. Although it's being tiled so no paint involved. Looking back on it, there's little to no relevance to what you said and my kitchen :whoosh:
ive got a first attempt did it in paint shop pro which i just downloaded but no idea how to put it on here lol
Go to www.tinypic.com and upload it there. Then copy and paste the link that's provided. It should look like
All these pics that are hosted by tinypic I can't see as work has blocked the site as a non productive website
Either email it to admin as an attachement or if you don't minfd going public, use the attach file option to a reply to the thread. It woun't be full size but allows people to click on it and view in all it's glory.
Well actually, you might have noticed that was a temporary badge, it's not going to keep saying 125 years till the next Aniversary is it...so that would be the current bade
