Although it hurts me to say anything good about Fat Boy, according to BBC sport, he has given his £250,000 signing on fee to QPR.
Can't see HB doing the same to Mr. Simpson.

But we hardly need the money whereas QPR are heading towards the creek financially aren't they?

Actually this is quite standard in football. Basically he had the right to 10% of any transfer fee received for him as part of his QPR contract. Flam came in and bid £2.5m, of which QPR know they'll get £2.25m. QPR say the bid isn't enough and will be rejected. Cook, desperate for the move to the Prem and not in need of the money, offers to waive his 10% to facilitate the move. After all, the money was never really his anyway (being as it was never in his bank account) so the loss is unnoticable to him. QPR then accept the bid knowing they'll get all £2.5m, probably meeting their valuation.

Hmmm, he won't be doing this out of the goodness of his heart. 30 lorry loads of kebab meat will be on their way from Loftus Road very shortly.

If he loves QPR as much as he claims, can't see why he didn't just buy them for the £250K. Yes I realise he would have been paying more than they are worth.
So if HB is so desperate for the more for the sake of his family, can anyone see him waiving his signing on fee.

The "Money for the family" argument just doesn't stack up. It's likely that the thousands of pounds per week he is on at the moment is enough to feed, clothe and shelter a whole village of Bouazzas. This is plain and simple greed, so to try and dress it up sympathetically by playing the family angle is just cynical PR.

    He's a slimey little c**t.

He showed us no respect by mugging us off when he left...just as bad as SGB, if not worse!

At least in the end we made half a mil on Cook. SGB went for zero.

It's got nothing to do with the fee we got for him, it's the way he blatantly lied to the fans and bit the hands that fed him!

At the risk of getting destroyed in a hail of abuse, who the hell is SGB?

Except we get 25% of that thus meaning they only got around £1.9M.

Lee Cook has given his cash-strapped former club QPR a major boost by handing over his £250,000 signing-on fee at Fulham as a parting gift. (The Sun)

Reminds me of the £500K Ashley Young was insisting on from us for his transfer.

The tribunal set the deal at only 15% so we get £375k. meaning QPR still make over £2m for the gob*****!!

Still amazes me now how the tribunal ripped off and took the p!ss - £150k plus £10k a year for 3 years if they stayed up. I'd rather they had got relegated than have got £10k!!
