Season ticket holders can't buy an additional ticket until after Cat C - which is a minimum of 1 home game since 2019. I can't see there being too many Watford fans that haven't been to a single home game since 2019?
    • Group C recognises fans who have purchased tickets to between 1 and 9 home league and cup matches since July 2019.
    • Group D recognises fans who currently hold Season Tickets and wish to purchase additional tickets for friends and family who have not purchased before.

I’ve criticised some of the club’s ticketing policies in the past but I think you’re getting wound up over not much at all here. Anyone who wants a ticket to a home game will get one. And they explained their email system is down for some sort of update at the moment. Poor planning but hardly them being ‘too lazy’.

At £40/£36 a ticket probably won’t be a great rush for tickets being purchased if the season goes as people expect !

Hardly attractive for families etc .

Yeah and £35 for an adult in the family end. I thought that was a bit high.

Maybe more acceptable if we were in the PL and doing well, but it's not worth it in the Championship with a squad who are going to struggle to impress. I would knock a tenner off that at least. People are hard up enough as it is, and £35.00 down the drain to see us put in an abject performance will surely turn a lot of the more casual fans' away. As the old saying goes, put in a performance, the people will come.

I think the prices are about average for Championship clubs. It’s all about the mid £30s for an adult. Sheffield Wednesday range from £27 the lowest price for a Cat G match. Up to £59 as the most expensive for a Cat A match.

As @AndrewH63 says, £35 is not bad in comparison to others. I just think it's silly pricing for the family enclosure where they should be looking to encourage as many to come to games as possible when we don't have the instant magnet of the PL. £5 for the kids is great but £35 for an accompanying adult to watch Plymouth is silly.

£35 is half a day's pay after stoppages for minimum wagers like me - which is too much.

I have always been humble in my jobs - never more than a pawn in whatever it was - but when it was terraces I could easily afford to go.

And it was easier to break in, either through creeping in the big open rookery gates around 1:15pm and then relaxing in one of the toilet cubicles with the Watford Observer until you hear 'OK open the turnstiles' come over the PA when you can come creeping out.

Or if arriving late, shin up the phonebox between the Vic Road end and the hospital, across the roof of the turnstiles and jump down the other side.

    Now it's like bloody alcatraz.

You’re right the only reason fans don’t like us is because we have dropped out of the PL and look like a mid table championship team. It’s got nothing to do with agents, or how many managers we have had, that’s a smoke screen. If we were top of the PL and run by ISIS, the same fans that are moaning now, wouldn’t bat an eye lid

Yeah because nobody was critical of Pozzo’s bizarre ownership in the premier league were they? I went home and away when we were league 1 under Jackett and loved the club at the time so your patronising nonsense doesn’t apply to me.

    Point taken.
It was a case of "now what" when l first read the post.
With crowds around 14k to 15k, tickets should be easier to get.
I was going make 5/8/23 my one home game before 2024, now that we have QPR at Vicarage Road.
I offered my 10yr old Watford/QPR or St Albans City//Weymouth, he opted for St Albans City.
I didn't poison his mind, he just can't see Watford being any good this season. I hoped he would say Watford, but no.
We return home on the 11th of August, but have Plymouth or Bristol City away in January and Southampton away in April on our list.
