Whatever you say. He'll never make it here when we play 3-5-2 because he's not a wing back and he's not a striker. He's shown his quality whenever he's got a run in the team and I find it strange that our own fans are so against giving him praise when he's clearly playing very, very well.
Not sure how you can say that when you haven't actually watched him? The point I think everyone is making is that he plays well, but has 0 final product. He'll be a useful player for any team of the likes of Millwall but until he finds an end product he'll never make it above that level.
How do you know this? Is there a press article that says that because so far all you seem to quote are Millwall fans on Twitter. Your post today is before Millwall's game was even over so presumably whoever says it isn't actually there. I reckon I could find you someone on Twitter who though Lee Probert was fab last night if I looked hard enough...
Bit harsh on Andros Townsend a few posts ago. He's been excellent fairly recently, especially for England in qualifiers. As for Fabbrini, I am wholeheartedly with WT. He is an excellent player but needs to play as a wide midfielder, winger, or an attacking midfielder behind a single striker. Basically he doesn't fit naturally into a 3-5-2 system and that's a big part of why he hasn't succeeded with us. It's certainly not the only reason, but this has been a very big factor in my opinion.
Do the views of Millwall's journos not count, just because they're on Twitter? Would the views count if they were on Facebook? Or overheard at the game? Go ahead.
FWIW, Forest fan: Some other comments: Fabb the hardman: They seem pretty impressed with him, too. And as a Brucie Bonus:
Millwall's supporters were chanting Diego Fabbrini's name after the Watford loanee produced another standout performance. "It's great to see what he can do," said Holloway. "If there was a myth about what makes a Millwall player, he's broken that, hasn't he? "He's as slight as a feather but he's got all sorts of skill. Hopefully we can integrate him into the team and he can enjoy his football."
I'm glad to see he's enjoying his football. He's been here for a year and a half now but hasn't really had a run in the side, can't have been easy for him but he seems like a decent guy. Hoping he makes it with us but if he doesn't then I'm sure he'll get a decent club from his form with Millwall.
To be honest from pre season performances this was on the cards. I'm glad he is proving himself again at this level.
Fabbrini will score the goal that keeps us in the Prem in 2015/16, away to Arsenal on the final day. It will be his only appearance that season.
Pleased for him, and I've got the tiniest soft spot for the 'wall. As for the person saying Townsend's decent, he runs fast, then boots the ball in the direction he's facing. He is not that good. Even alot of Spurs fans don't really rate him.
So glad to see him doing well. Will mean the brainless fans who are only happy moaning and criticising players , will have to move onto someone else.
Whilst Townsend is probably overated, he has improved significantly since he came here on loan. Still a lot better than Vydra as is confirmed by their respective performances in the Premier. You must have some ability to haved played 73 games in the Premier at such a relatively early age.
I've been reading some of the Millwall forums and Fab seems to have been outstanding against Florist. Really pleased for him. I also see Gibbsy has been promoted to assistant manager which explains his move there last month.
Can we recall him the moment the transfer window shuts? He can lead us to promotion and Millwall can **** off into League One.
Pleased he's doing well for him as an individual,, not for Millwall. I don't think he is in Jokas future plans otherwise why would he send him on loan? Perhaps he will go in the summer, possibly Italy.
Not just Holloway and the fans but the Millwall players love him too. Especially the fact that he wears black boots.. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...s/11765761.Fabbrini_has_broken_Millwall_myth/
I think it's clear Fabrinni's attitude isn't the issue as some thought given these comments and performances and more about getting game time to stay sharp. It's more a case of having Deeney, Vydra, Ighalo and FF as well as youth academy to fight for that one extra spot in attack. (Deeney is always going to start so that leaves 3-4 good forwards fighting for one spot) He'll be back, better for the experience like Guediora was from us.
Well I obviously don't. Like MCGugan, Ranegie, Dyer and Battochio I don't see Fabbrini ever playing for Watford again. The youngsters like Mensah,& Ikpeazu sent out for experience I do understand.
He won't fit into our 352, that's for sure. If we stick with it then I agree that can't see him getting a game for us again. But what if we don't play 352 next year? Fabbrini clearly has a lot of talent; the problem has been that he hasn't added end product to accompany it thus far. Couple this with the fact that he is a winger who has been played as a forward for the last few years of his career and it might be no surprise his career hasn't taken off. If he can play into form and finish adapting to England on Millwall's time then great, even more so if it encourages a sizable bid for him. If not, then he's been on someone else's dime for the best part of 4 months. Either way I call that a win. Regardless of whether or not we think he'll play here again, him doing well elsewhere is only a good thing for us (particularly if he can help Millwall take points from Derby, Boro or Muff). Good performances = a fatter cheque if we sell him.
I think if I'd been named MOTM when my team had just been stuffed 3-1 at home, I'd think they were taking the p*** His rave-review perfomances don't seem to be helping Millwall particularly, do they?
