    just recieved this carp..they really don't give a **** about us..

    Many thanks for contacting The FA.

    As you are aware, The FA Cup Sixth Round television coverage has been confirmed. Full details can be found here - http://www.TheFA.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2007/02/FACupTVSixth.htm

    Confirmation of FA Cup fixture dates and kick off times is always preceded by a process of discussion with broadcasters, the clubs and the police. On this occasion there were a number of scenarios that complicated the scheduling process. For example, neither Tottenham Hotspur nor Blackburn Rovers (should they win their replay) could play on the Saturday as they may have been involved in UEFA Cup action on the Thursday beforehand.

    The FA are committed to creating a weekend of live sport that maximises the number of supporters able to view and attend the fixtures. In order to facilitate this it was important to take into account the RBS Six Nations Championship that features games on both the Saturday and Sunday. With all four quarter-final matches being televised there is always a difficult balancing act involved in scheduling the fixtures but, taking all circumstances into account, this was felt to be the best possible arrangement of the fixtures.

    In reference to the Plymouth vs. Watford fixture, The FA considered the allocation of tickets for Watford fans and following consultation with the clubs and the police, it was decided that the travelling contingent of just over 3,000 supporters could be adequately transported with the provision of coaches.

    Thank you once again for contacting The FA. The FA’s Customer Relations Unit exists to collate views, build a picture of public opinion and circulate this internally within the organisation. Please rest assured your comments will form part of this feedback process.

    Kind regards,

    Well that clears that up then doesn't it:( Just typical from them, they are just another commercial operation now, after money and exposure.

    That reply kind of implies that the free coaches may have been instigated by the FA rather than WFC.

    Interesting.

    Other than that, what did you expect as a response ?

    "Oh lord, I never thought of that... Okay, how about we change it to be played at Vicarage Road... the Plymouth fans are used to travelling across the country for every away game and probably don't have any jobs to get back to on Monday anyway."

    Or perhaps;

    Siggy - sent message in a fit of 'pique' when the timing was announced, As has been said elsewhere, I don't mind not being the top billing, but dumped to 6pm on a sunday's a bit much.

    Typical pre-prepared universal response all too prevalent in today's cost cutting customer service culture. Was probably devised in another country.:rant:

    if anything that would mean we are more likely to get saturday.
    we could have had the 12 or 4 oclock kick of, and chlsea tottenham should have had the evening one.
    and why didnt they do 2 on sat 2 on sun :rant:

    I know. I wasn't hassling you, but you got a better reply than I would have expected... They did actually respond to the points you raised.

    I really expected the typical;

    "Thank you for your comments, which will be considered carefully (before being thrown in the shredder)"...

    No they'll be coming to our place for a 7.45pm kick off on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Personally it doesn't bother me too much as I am staying overnight, but I do feel for the fans that would normally go and now can't because of the ridiculous BBC timing.
