Chance to ruin City’s quadruple bid, wreck another big 6 pre-season fund raising and have the audacity to be part of next seasons curtain raiser.

That’s enough for 6 decades of media hate. Let’s do it! Come on you Horns!!!!

Football at any time is a colossal pain in the arse, but if this gets in the way of ‘Countryfile’ I’ll be fumin’.

Added bonus of featuring Watford's historically best ever kit (the ones on the pitch I mean, not those in the studio).

That's good for me then! I can check with Dave Messenger if we get there anyway as he's always been very good at sorting tickets for me.

2 per season ticket holder the day after the club announce the no shows might lose their season tickets next year. Free hit for the glory hunter 5 a year (City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs) fans and their friend.

    Penalise them now I say.

The FA have proven they're not fixing everything in Man City's favour this year. Brighton won the coin toss and get to wear their home kit in their semi-final. No news about whether Watford and Wolves have got together for their big toss off yet though.

They just don't think do they ? Next they'll be wondering why they haven't sold any tickets.

Blimey, I honestly thought it was a round 38000 but I certainly remember that we didn't sell out. Do we have a bigger fan base now due to Being the Premier League for a few years? I wonder if that's why they did 2 per season ticket this time as I'm sure you could only buy 1 ticket at a time

As it suggests that you can buy up to 9 online - hopefully the farce of having to make separate purchases from individual family member log ons for the QF has been avoided,

Yes in 2016 it was 1 per ID - that was implemented because people complained about the atmosphere for the play-off final saying the "day-trippers" ruined it. Result? We couldn't sell our tickets and the atmosphere was still rubbish!

In 1999 and 2006 we were also able to buy 2 per ST holder and I don't remember many complaints about the atmosphere then.

  16. If we were the team to stop them though we'd probably be everyone elses favourite second team for a few seasons!

Incidentally talking of the curtain raiser, if city did win the league and the cup, do their first team play their reserves in the charity shield?

In all seriousness, it may be the cup runners up anyway.

If someone does the double they play the league runners up - otherwise it's just a repeat of the cup final.

I think we had around 39,000 for the play-off final, so maybe it's that you're thinking of?

Could be. They were both horrific days out that I've tried to forget. Maybe me not going is a lucky omen this year!

I think it's pretty poor of the club to offer tickets to ST holders before the more hardcore away group members/ cup ticket purchasers, considering the game isn't at the Vic.

Especially when the club has accepted there is a problem with glory hunting, non-attending ST holders.

Maybe they don't expect to sell out and want to sell to the biggest bulk of fans first. But why not sell to away Cat A/B and cup ticket purchasers immediately also?

Maybe they're using this as a carrot to encourage ST renewals, but it seems a little unfair.

Do you have any friends with a ST? they could buy the ticket with your fan ID.

If I am reading the sales arrangements correctly, you can purchase a maximum of 20 per online transaction, which will be great, as I have 16 to get in one go, so we can sit together.

Of the four semi-finalists, I can't help thinking two should not really be there. Both City and Brighton can look back on extraordinary luck which ensured they progressed from the quarter final.

Had both Swansea and Millwall got through, then it would be anyone's cup. I really think we'd have gone on to win it, still may do, but beating City at Wembley in a final......not so sure.

At least we'll know who we're facing in the final before we play our semi final. If by some miracle Brighton actually beat City, then wow, then what an opportunity.

No one wants a Watford v Brighton final, apart from Watford and Brighton fans of course. The purists all want Man City v Wolves. We'll have to do it the hard way, as no doubt the referee will side with the more popular team in both ties.

As long as we don't get Moss, Mason, Taylor, Probert or Oliver for the semi, we'll have a bit of a fighting chance.

In fact, even though he screwed us over against City, I'd have Tierney again. He's a good referee and he owes us one. Failing that, Atkinson, Pawson, Kavanagh or Marriner who be my choice. They are very good match officials.

In tight matches, it's vital you get a good match official. That makes so much difference to the end result.

I guess it's just a way of filtering down the numbers trying to access the website at one time?

ST holders were always going to get first pick of the tickets. Bare in mind everyone in away cat A already has a season ticket and cat B has less than a thousand people in it, what difference would it really make?

Admittedly Alvin Stardust's son,Teflon Le Fumble, helped enormously but Millwall's first goal was fortunate to stand.
In addition,BHA had a goal incorrectly disallowed in extra time.
At the risk of being boiled alive by Harry 'The Dog',I'd say BHA deserved their victory and Millwall only have themselves to blame.

Playing in the second semi-final seems like a curse to me. If Brighton were to get through the pressure to win would be immense (although it would be the same for Wolves); a bit like when we faced 3rd division Plymouth in '84. On the other hand if City are waiting in the final there might be an element of 'what's the point?'.

Probably quite a difference to the seats for those thousand, plus cup ticket purchasers. If it's only a thousand tickets, I'd switch your question around and ask why this group are being excluded it it's only a thousand or so more people? It sends out the wrong message. Surely Ticketmaster's servers could cope.

I'm not that bothered personally as I'll get a ticket in the first round. But I have friends who go to more games than I do and will probably have to sit in rubbish seats, despite putting in many more miles and hours. It seems bizarre that they have a lower priority than the plus 1s of ST holders.

If it's about quality of the remaining seats by the time your friends can buy then yeah, you have a point. Most of the prime ones will be gone if they want to sit as a large group. It's only a day difference though and so long as they get in sharpish on Friday I can't imagine it'll make much difference if they only want a seat or pair of seats.

  35. There are no good seats at Wembley. It's not a football ground. I certainly won't be bothering with the Cat 1 or 2 tickets, We had what would have been Cat 2 for Spurs, utter crap. Far too shallow, miles from pitch wherever you are, unless you go for the Red seats.
