Tbf, although i accept the point that we have little to show for our 6 premier League season in terms of overall infrastructure and club improvement, promotion came a little out of the blue in the 12/13 season. Parish and the 'CPFC 2010' group had a long term vision to improve everything to do with the club and then push for promotion. Similar to the way Brighton and yourselfs entered the League. Once we beat you in the play off final, it was all hands to the pump to basically spend anything to keep us up and has been for about 6 years now. So in a sense we were not premier league ready in 2012/13. However we are still here and imo playing better football every year. I don't see where this 'constantly fighting relegation' myth comes from tbh

Millwall can hardly gain league attendances of above 8,000 because the true fans are driven away by the disgusting, racist thugs. In what way are millwall a much better club than palace?

Our back 4 IMO is the best outside the top 6. Tomkins and Sakho are better than Catchcart and Kabasele imo.

Guaita? No, Foster has been top class this season

    Wan Biassaka yes
    Tomkins, Yes
Sakho, yes (crucial to us despite putting us on edge most of the time)
    PVA, No

Luka or Doucoure (either/or) both very good

    zaha yes
    Meyer yes

We still have those ghastly flats though....

‘Needs must’ when they were built - but Christ, they are awful now as far as a PL ground goes.

Can I ask why you think he’s ‘extremely harshly treated’? You asked yesterday for evidence of him diving/cheating and I provided it. Those were found in a couple of minutes and were recorded because they were high-profile incidents. The truth is he has history and a habit of going down easily. It’s not a conspiracy against him. Cristiano Ronaldo suffered from the same affliction and then toughened up and was widely recognised for doing so.

Zaha is a great and skilful player. But he has traits that let him down. Play-acting and the wide-eyed dumb-founded look he gives when his diving isn’t successful. All of the refs and all of the opposition fans/players can’t be wrong. No smoke without fire. There is simply no reason for people to target him above anyone else unless he is guilty of something.

Meyer, has he done much? Sakho just looks like an accident waiting to happen. Cathcart is very dependable and Kabasele has not been playing but has been replaced by Mariappa who has done ok but isn't at the required standard. I'm just please you didn't say Townsend!

It is a huge catchment area. They've just been very unlucky indeed that their huge catchment area hasn't led to anything more than the occasional brief spell in the top flight. In my opinion this highlights the astounding bad luck CP have had in their 113 trophyless years. With even a small slice of luck Im convinced their massive catchment area would have led to unprecedented success both at home and in Europe. In football its all about catchment area, just look at Dagenham & Redbridge, Brentford, Plymouth, Birmingham and Stevenage. It's all about catchment area.

I had Townsend typed out believe me, but i pick and choose my battles :). Sakho is an unbelievably good defender. Although he looks like a mistake on legs he actually rarely puts a foot wrong. We had Mariappa for a while and he was hopeless...

I am horribly bored at work so thought I would have a look at both sides record since being promoted and there is basically a gnats chuff in it.
Average points per game - Palace 1.14 Watford 1.16
Average goals for per game- Palace 1.15 Watford 1.12
Average goals against per game - Palace 1.39 Watford 1.54
    Win percentage - Palace 31% Watford 31%
    Draw percentage - Palace 21% Watford 22%
    Loss percentage - Palace 47% Watford 46%
Improvement in facilities I think it's fair to say we are probably do slightly better!!

So basically what we're saying is that we're at around the same level, in fact almost exactly.

We like being watford =) We like it a lot!!
Telling us that we are Watford is a big compliment for us, it's who we want to be. We take the piss out of clubs like palace and everton cos u r such easy targets but at the end of the day we just wanna be Watford. Premier league or league 2, as long as I'm watford, I'm happy!

In the first one, it is as if the goal has been redacted.

I had a similar view from the 84 Cup Final.

    Didn't miss anything.

    TV picks are out.

We're 12.15 Saturday ko on BT Sport. Stupid kick off time, will kill half the atmosphere.

No Friday game so we're the first tie of the round second time in a row.

Statements like this just completely undermine everything you have to say and render the whole debate completely pointless.

You’ve let in the same amount of goals as us and our defenders are absolutely shocking! Case in point marriapa gets regular games!

You’ve supposedly got two of the best attackers in the league, and the best defence defence outside the top 6... your first team is apparently worth at least £200m, yet you’re three points from the relegation zone and you’ve lost exactly half the games you’ve played this season. Something doesn’t quite add up does it?

You’re not doing anything that we don’t all do as football fans, you’re completely biased towards your team and there is nothing wrong with that, but surely you can see that?

Well opinions are fine, I’ve gone with facts. In terms of opinions I’d say we’ve done better with our premier league money than you have (plus you had a 2 year head start). So I’d argue that we have used a better model than yours up until this point in time and are currently better placed to achieve something (achievement being subjective to clubs our size). All neutrals who only look at the headlines believe we are overachieving, but most of us on here took a much greater look at our owners and their plan / model and knew we’d have a great chance of being where we are right now.

Ps I’d say a combined best 11 would feature 4 palace players maximum

But he swore he wasn’t a Palace supporter. He follows all London clubs from his wheelchair. Say it ain’t so! In all honesty I actually hope against hope the wheelchair part is true. Not because I wish ill on anyone but the thought of pretending to be disabled for effect is beyond low.

Anyway, he’s been quiet since your bit of Sherlock Holmes work so suspect it’s all a bit of BS.

I'm not quite sure why the Southampton game on the same day has been cancelled, it leave nearly one hour for the players to get themselves ready for a 3pm kick off! And would save the fans traveling back for an evening kick off on a wet April evening!
