I don’t usually watch the build up to games but hearing carragher and Neville’s joyless discussion of Klopp and his Pool side confirms my thoughts that in depth football analysis is one of the most boring conversations one can have.
One of those was the moral loss as well as the actual score loss. The others we held our heads righteously high as we strutted out with zero points.
Very interesting selection tonight. Big vote of confidence for Quina; I really hope he makes an impact. My impression on Sunday was that he needs to learn to release the ball quicker, even if it’s a simple, boring pass. Chalobah must be disappointed to lose his place but honestly he was awful against City. I know nobody was good (except Foster) but he was especially bad. The paradox of course is that he can’t start until he’s sharp but he can’t get sharp until he’s had games. Sema didn’t play well in the league cup against Spurs or in his league cameos to date, so he has a lot to prove. Just heard on sky that Deeney has 1 goal in his last 26 away games! Amazing. Maybe Z cars will trick him in to thinking it’s a home game?
I’m sick to death of how we give the away so easily. There was so much of it against Man City and it’s carried on into this game. So frustrating when they are not under pressure either.
Frustrating but emotions aside we’ve matched Everton away from home that half. 1-0 down to an offside goal (shock) Success given offside when he wasn’t when through against last defender (shock) Success fouled when through, not given (shock) Playing well overall though
Fully on HB1’s side of the fence on refs tonight. Shambolic. Offside goal and a clear second yellow for Mina.
Best chances fell to Pereyra and Quina, who unfortunately have both joined the local WD18 scouts group, also known as the ‘Barn Door Brigade’
An offside goal and an opposition player not sent off when it should have been a fk at the end there. Just typical
We havnt stuck it in the net so shouldnt be winning, but for **** sake , clearly offside , it’s easy to tell the person who touched the ball was well and truly off ******* side Nice to to see Rich still can’t stay on his feet
Our midfield two struggling against their three, but when we do break the press we look dangerous. Pretty even game so far. I do not like blaming refs, because if you play well enough you take those decisions out of the equation, but this is getting ridiculous. Game after game, points being lost due to blatent, glaring errors.
Who’s on the bench tonight, because we have **** all up top? Deeney & success are bloody woeful. Unless Javi changes things at half time, this has 2-0 written all over it. Oh, and when is Holebas going to be relieved of all set pieces,it’s getting beyond a joke. Quina the one bright spark
Someone’s getting sent off tonight, clearly Richarlison is in the lead for this, I’d imagine Holebas is in the running along with Kabasele.
Find it pretty amazing that a blatant "Hand of God" is only a yellow card given the grief Maradona gets. Stopping a goal with your hand is a red so why not trying to score with one?
Is success colour blind ? He seems unable to see a green shirt no matter how close or far away they are
Knowing how frustrating it is watching us dominate teams in this league for large spells and not score, imagine how it must feel for the manager. I’m not sure how much more he can do in these situations??
I'm sorry Ben Foster & @Travis Bickle I take it all back. Foster is the greatest goalkeeper we've ever had.
