Even still, you would of thought some of the fans you had over wouldve been able to make a little noise? Rather than sitting in silence for 90 mins

You're right. A bunch of hand picked away fans for one game shows that England fans make no noise and NI are the benchmark for us all.

The thing is, could NI do it on a warm, muggy night in Rio? Too bad we'll never find out.

    Is that what I said?

What i said is surely between he entire hand picked fans you would've been able to make a little noise?

Maybe it was just the embarrassment of being outclassed by us that kept you quiet...

Maybe it was the shame of losing a meaningless match against a province whose only contribution to the cultural history of the British Isles is spitting at children for walking to school down the wrong street and nailbombing horses

    What a fantastic comment...

For a start, it was a world cup qualifier actually. The score was 1-0 if you forgot. David Healy scored a great goal. Your lot were shocking. Fans were crap too. Just incase you forgot.

Secondly, what a stupid and immature comment. Seems to be pretty easy to get you to overreact, pretty funny if I'm being honest...

  7. another_mrlizard

    another_mrlizard Squad Player

In what way was it an over-reaction?

Firstly, England already had enough points to have qualified, albeit as one of the best 2nd placed teams, so the outcome of the game was irrelevant to England's qualification - FACT

Secondly, I care not two tiny ****s which team had the most immature and mongish fans and which set sang the most silly songs whilst wearing "comedy" hats, because that's my definition of the sort of people who should be abducted from their homes in the middle of the night, bundled into a car boot and be shot in both knees in a field somewhere, something else for which the Northern Irish are rightly famous and for which I should have given you credit the first time

Just sounded likee the rantings of a 13 year old hormonal girl, similar to this comment too...

You should probably get out more

I've been out enough to know what Northern Ireland is like, thank you very much - far more than I'd be willing to share with the likes of you actually. What I'm not familiar with is the behaviour of 13 year old girls, so I'll take your word for it, as you're clearly closer to that particular world than am I

    So in summary:

Things Northern Ireland is famous for -

    1. Spitting at schoolchildren
    2. Kneecappings
    3. Nail-bombing horses
    4. Building 'unsinkable' ships

    Anything else?

    5) Beating you 1-0 a few years ago, not sure if I mentioned that?
    6) George Best, better than any footballer england has ever produced

George Best was in England form the age of 15, so we'll share that one. Not that I like being on mr lizards side.

As you can see from Mr Lizard's list, we don't have much to boast about, so I'm afraid we will have to take the full credit for Mr. Best ;)

Should the English be celebrating the 4-0 humping dished out to NI in the match before?

Doubt it as that was fully expected, as you were playing against an inferior team.

The difference between our victory is that it was completely unexpected and we were massive underdogs

Every person i've ever met from Northern Ireland has been very pleasant (far more so than Eire). I went to Armagh for a weekend in the summer and the locals were all really friendly.

Can you not see how admitting that you want England to lose on here is going to rub a lot of people up the wrong way? We're used to the Scots and Welsh bleating on about how much they detest us, despite happily living here and being economically supported by us, but I perhaps naively thought most of Northern Ireland didn't have the same issues.

    **** you then.

There is no need for some of the vitriol on display in this thread and finger pointing my dad is bigger than your dad.

Northern Ireland by virtue of their population size and losing some of their best prospects to the Republic are unfortunately always going to struggle to qualify for tournaments.

I think the province is quite a lot more famous for people like CS Lewis, the late Seamus Heaney and physicists like Jocelyn Bell and John Bell. It's a lovely place and some lovely girls having had the pleasure of going out with a girl from there.

And Georgie Best is without a doubt the best player these islands have produced,.

  21. I want England to lose every match... and I'm English. I hate the xenophobic claptrap that surrounds our national team, I hate media **** licking rubbish players like Rooney, I hate the FA creating rules putting the national team ahead of club football by restricting foreign players, I hate the England band with the ****** awful great escape tune, I hate new Wembley, in short I hate everything about International football.

I have no issue with Scots, Welsh and Irish hating the England team as much as I do.

Don't get me wrong, we like English people in general (atleast most of the country does), I would never dislike someone on the basis that they are English.

I just dislike your football team. Nothing more than that, don't think its a massive deal really. Don't like most of the squad (except Ashley Cole, I like him) and especially not Rooney, hate him.

I don't think its any different from me wanting Manchester United to lose every weekend, hate them even more

My first comment was in reply to another comment on this thread.

They were saying about how people in NI dislike england as a footballing nation. When you quoted me, it has taken it out of context. My comment is about the majority of people over here disliking england because of the media's attitude towards england.

Maybe I should've simplified it for the slower members of the forum like yourself, and wrote 'I don't think most people', but I guessed the majority of the forum would've picked up that I wasn't speaking for the entire population of NI.

The reason my views differ to most over here, is that I am not a Manchester United fan, like most people. They tend to like your squad but hate the media's/fans' attitude.

I dislike the squad and the media/fans' attitude

I hate people flippantly using the word hate. It's a strong word to use against anybody let alone people you don't know and have never met.

    You can dislike anything, potentially.

But to hate, that is something entirely different, to hate comes from somewhere deep, it whispers of the betrayal of love.

Is he going to do another of his match previews, even though he never actually goes to any of the matches?

  28. Hating the England band is not flippant

They are the most annoying cahunts I have ever come across, and if I could I'd shove their great escape right up their great escapes!

I hope he does because his previews are simply great. You can do one if you are so inclined.

btw unless you are fluent in German I know you copied and pasted your Alta Vista translation result straight to here because if you typed it you would know you could substitute the esszet for a simple double s. You should also know, being the intelligent person I know you to be, not to start a sentence with a conjunction.

Is this sarcasm? You like the biggest **** on the team? Just goes to show what you're fond of which is very different to the vast majority so I can see why we're clashing

  31. another_mrlizard

Of course I could have used a double 's' - I just chose not to because I was showing off and whilst I'd hardly claim to be fluent in German, I can speak it sufficiently to manage to memorise simple sentences from things I've read and which interest me, then type them onto a messageboard without resorting to cutting and pasting

    Does Alta Vista still exist?

I'm using my old American laptop and to this day (after 14 years) I still can't remember what the alt+code is for the GBP symbol. You must write a fair bit of German if you know it for double s. Kudos to you for it.

No, I just read a lot of stuff about German things. The symbol is in the code list if you can be arsed to look for it and care about getting these things right

  35. PhilippineOrn

What code list? Where is that? I don't have one. Where can I get one?

Why would you question if I care about getting things right? I already said you shouldn't start a sentence with "Und". I am meticulous beyond reproach about getting things right.

Just curious about what German things you read.
