I always prefer to start in the conference and earn the right to be WFC manager. Never managed it! Always start as Stevenage Borough and never got them promoted although have got other teams out after being sacked by them. This FM2007 first season though I finished champions! Anyone else start in the conference? I am currently in League 2 and drew my first and won my next 4 games to go top. All gone pear shaped since and sit 16th in the table. I have some experienced players trying to help out LOL Jason Lee Paul Warhurst Grady from Gretna. Had Junior Osbourne on loan in the promotion season and although not great average rating he did chip in as a right winger with plenty of assists. Also have Jason Norville although not as good as he was a few years (and versions) ago.
I tend to start off in lower leagues, usually league 2 though. With 07, ive got a game running as Plymouth, and a game running with Hereford with hereford im in the playoffs, i like managing lower sides.
ive got a few games running one as watford in which i have now won 2 premiership titles and the champions league along with one fa cup and one league cup tho i am in my 6th season so its fair enuf i spose one as swansea first season am in 3rd with 7 games to go still a chance of finishing top and one as man utd in which ive won every trophy 3 years in a row and then got bored lol
Likewise, i got a WFC game going. Ended first season in 8th place, but won the league cup, so now to prepare for Europe.
I was Nottingham Forest. Got prometed in 2 successive seasons and am currently lying 17th. I brought Bangura who is amazing and by selling a few players i have got Lee Bowyer on a free and David Murphy from Hibs, he is amazing and cheap, must get him if your Watford at the beginning.
