Hey guys, me and around 15 friends/family members are going to drink from around 11ish on Monday till around 12:30ish in Rickmansworth, probably at the Penny. Only a couple of stops away from Wembley on the Met Line and apparently is an OK pub, but hopefully won't have the kind of prices which the Wembley pubs will have, nor have the long queues. Will anyone join us/is anyone planning on drinking in Ricky too?

On a slightly related note, why are there no good pubs left in Ricky?

The Coach and Horses is always rammed and tiny anyway
Penny V is full of scroungers (alright if you're starting a bit of a session though)
The Feathers is just full of pretentious people that love spending £6 on wheat beer
    There's that rugby club look-a-like near M&S
And Long Island Exchange or whatever it's called is a dump

Druids is good for watching the football (Rugby Pub ) and will be packed on Monday afternoon.

The fox and hounds in Ricky high st is better than it used to be, but nothing special. Better off in Croxley for a beer generally but I reckon the penny will be good on Monday.

Lots of boozers closer to wembley on the met line than Ricky, days like Monday are about going somewhere different. Each to their own though!

Fair enough, give me an example of somewhere decent then? I'm up for a new pub too! Plus I've never been to the Penny anyway already aha.

There will be a group of us in the penny from 10am onwards. Lots of Watford fans drink in there regardless of whether its a matchday so definately worth a visit on Monday. Cheap drinks and plenty of seating.
