Thanks. Think you are right about being able to claim up to grandparents level, though I am a little bit surprised there has been no mention of a second nationality in the press.
I think it's only right that we employ a samba band for at least one game. If Ben Iroha gets Nigerian dancers then Rinaldi deserves a bit of a cultural boost.
A very good signing he'll set the championship alight and with the confidence gained he'll be great in the premiership when we bounce straight back.
It's an excellent price for us for a player of his quality. However, it will also probably be an absolute mint for the side we bought him off!
I am very pleased with this. I think he'll be a great assett to the team in the CCC, and also I think the news coming this soon shows that Aidy is wheeling and dealing as we speak. That it's a two year deal is okay - I think neither he nor the club would want it to run for longer. He wants to see if we make it into the PrL, the club wants to see if he can cut it at that level. Well done Aidy and welcome Dougie.
I dont want to put a dampner on this as i do agree it is a good signing. I have seen him a lot and other than one quality run, i still dont think hes found his feet yet. Worth the risk though.
hes not had too many games and was still adapting - hopefully with pre season and a couple of friendlies he will be raring to go
Very pleased with this. For once we have managed to get a quality player in for a foreign team, after the Sietes deal I was a little worried. i hopw he is now given a chance in the middle of midfield, shame Williams got injured as those two would have been good together. I can see him and Bangure being our middle men now nest year
Agree he looks a class player, and sound value for money. I guess the report on the official board was `ghost written` for him as the language was `cultured` (far better Portenglish than the Chelsea boss) He may well find it tougher in the Championship, as although he should get more time on the ball, the opposition players will be bigger and tougher -which will test his physical credentials.
I'm pleased he has signed and think he will become a class signing. It also indicates that we are going to be playing more football on the ground instead of the air
For those interested, the reason why a work permit was not an issue is according to football manager his other nationality is Italian.
large italian community in brazil, and rinaldi is an italian name. This means we got brazilian flair and italian tactical nous. should be good!
Not always. Their database is one of the best around but it's not foolproof. At the end of the day it's still a fan like you and me who fills it out and they have to source it from somewhere. For Watford is was/is Dave Messenger and he always seems to be pretty in the know.
Without putting a dampner on this, he seems a great player and yes he has impressed me, but the Championship is a different league, and its a more physical league i believe too. I maybe wrong, but i don't feel you get as much time on the ball in the fizzy pop league. Hopefully i am wrong, but i feel it will take a while for him to adapt to it.
His battling performance against Chelsea proved to me that he is physically up to English football- he put in lots of excellent crunching tackles that day.
I am really pleased that we have snapped him up. I felt he added something to our midfield that we were ostensibly lacking, some drive.
agree - hes got the brazilian flair but strength to. hes quite tall. bet he crunched them all on rio beach - thats why he didnt get far - no-one liked him
