This place has improved IMO since he was banned, less spam, less pointless bumps etc etc etc.

 

so you think he should be banned for life just because he bumps up random posts, well theres a easy answer for that, add him to your ignore list!!

 

That was an example, note the way i said etc etc etc indicating ALOT more reasons.

If he's got a problem then why doesn't he PM admin rather than having a pop where everyone else has to listen to him moan.

Sure he's not the only one but i'm pretty sure that's all he comes on here for, never do i see anything constructive posted other than OTT negative posings about our club which are obviously there to get a reaction.

 

I always enjoyed his posts and banter...Even the corny smilies are harmless. Are people really upset about post count? Seriously? I mean really?

By my reckoning, spam is unwanted solicitation for sales...to my limited knowledge that is something Arthur Dailey did not do.

Posting pictures of Bush getting his pecker pecked by turkey are awesome even though they are unrelated to football. They have a place and that place is a random photo thread, used often and well by Mr Dailey. That's the reason for the Steam Room isn't it? And the "Today's Football Posts" button.

Whether you like and agree with the content of what he's saying or not, censoring him is pointless.

The only thing people should be banned for are personal attacks or threats.

If you don't like his smilies or his posts, I encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the use of the IGNORE feature in this board.

he did have several warnings.
he seemed to think admin favoured peple.
he didnt post anything thought provoking or interesting - it was all critical and repetitive.

he broke the rules several times. been banned twice already which is alot as admin doesnt ban anybody without warning and discusion among the moderators.

maybe he'll find somewhere else. the amount he moans aboout watford and the fans would fit in nicely on a luton board

This game of Survivor: Watford is miserably poor entertainment.

No one ought to be banned.

 

The problem is how can we as mods respond to a request for someone to be banned? It's puts us in a tricky situation. Banning is always going to be a last resort, it's a failure on our part that we haven't managed to guide people to responsible posting. Almost like expelling a naughty school kid.

If people report posts, that will help us identify problems. We will take the action that is appropriate for sticking to the forum rules and making this a place everyone can enjoy visiting. We will try our best to explain any actions however sometimes issues are resolved by PM. Just because responses are not forthcoming, it doesn't mean that the report has been ignored or nothing has been done. Also our employers are quite unreasonable in insisting that we actually work for our wages so occasionally it may take a while for use to respond to reports.

We pretty much pick up most stuff anyway but as the forum gets busier and busier it will become more difficult to identify everything, so please use the report post tool to give us a helping hand.

Don't think it's fair for me to comment on individual cases. A lot more may have gone on that is made private very quickly. It is admin's final decision as it's his hard work and cash that has gone in to set up this place.

Certainly not thankless. Seeing this place up and running and the majority of people happy, gives me a buzz. admin and all the mods were also blown away by the emails we received when the site was down for a while. Besides a bit of power goes a long way to keep me happy.:sign13:
