Bump... Perhaps the reports in Italy of Zola being appointed as manager on Tuesday may be slightly wide of the mark. Bournemouth Dom is 'ITK' (was the first to break the news about GT resigning) and what he posted above did happen. Who knows though, all shall be revealed soon hopefully.
But the Pozzos themselves confirmed Zola will be involved in the project! Have the media got it wrong, and he'll be involved instead in another capacity?
Ian Abrahams thinks this... I believe Zola to Watford is true - heard it a month ago and then confirmed at a conversation I had on Thursday @AndyGiBBo Might not be as manager though? He is normally pretty spot on!
Dyche played mixed football tbf, the football played at Peterborough as we got more confident and could build on the hard-working foundation was genuinely the best i've seen. I think his style suits the Champ, similar to Reading, malleable and interchangeable.
Fair enough, hope you're right. Moose is NOT normally spot on mate! Got the Liverpool manager's job wrong, genuinely, about 5 times in a row, very much hit and miss.
I heard that the first thing asked at the meeting was if we'd got the keys to the safe off of Bas yet.
Are you serious here? How could that work? Would one of them be the head coach, or would they get someone else in? This scenario sounds like the film 'Remember the Titans'. Remember the Hornets. In this instance, the British Watford players are sceptical and unfriendly towards the Italians players coming in from Udinese. Dyche and Zola manage the team together and stamp out the animosity between the two groups at the Barton Rovers game, and the whole team goes on to win the Championship.
That maybe so, but my point is him saying it doesn't really alter my opinion mate. I'd love it if Zola was there in some capacity, but just Dyche as manager.
Dyche wasn't mentioned no but none of the staff were individually as Duxbury stated everyones jobs are safe. Dyche was stood alongside Duxbury when it was said.
The Moose's accuracy depends entirely on the contacts of 'The Sun' football team, if they get it right so does he.
local rumors say that this week Zola is expected to sign the contract, then the transfermarkt will start. Always according to rumors one between Mori and Angella, together with Ekstrand might be loaned to Watford.
It says Staff haven't been paid for June. Sod the players what about the poor admin staff who need to pay the mortgage! Are players staff?
The takover only happened Friday so until that point Bas was in charge of paying people on time so there's no shock if these rumours are true. I'm sure this will get sorted very quickly. A good PR exercise here would be to come out and apologise for this (even though it's not their fault) and promise to reimburse any late payment fines for mortgages and bills.
Technically Baz was still in charge in June, so I would not be surprised if it is him who should have paid everyone? I wonder what was in that locked safe? I would imagine the Pozzo's will sort it out even if it should be down to Baz, but I am guessing it is not technically their responsibility?
"WATFORD FC'S offices will be closed this afternoon, from 2:45pm, for a staff meeting." http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2829033,00.html
An unusual statement to release on the website, although I'd say it points to us getting some sort of news over the next 24 hours?
Looks like the staff are going to be brought up to speed, but I would imagine it will mainly be about their own future employment etc. with the club and not about anything us fans would be interested in. Having said that, if anybody on here is a staff member, it would be nice to know what they have been told, especially if they have been given ant ITK info that we would all like to share
Gino Pozzo and Scott Duxbury are expected to be at the club's offices later today. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9793037.Pozzo_expected_to_address_Watford_staff_today/
